Daniel DAVIS Was Arrested Again

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a Selwyn Township address to investigate a Break and Enter which has resulted in one person being charged.

On Monday March 31, 2025, members of the Peterborough County OPP received a call from a property owner regarding a break and enter that occurred at a residence on Frederick Street in Selwyn Township. The complainant advised that at approximately 1:00am, they heard a noise in the house and went to see what it was. The complainant exited their bedroom and were met by individuals dressed all in black carrying a weapon. The suspects assaulted the complainant before exiting the house. The complainant followed and observed a vehicle waiting for them in the driveway. The suspects entered the vehicle which then left the scene.

On Monday April 7, 2025, members of the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad attended an address in the city of Peterborough where after a search of the residence, officers located and arrested one of the accused in this matter.

Daniel DAVIS, age 32 of Fenlon Falls, ON., was arrested and charged with;

  • Break and Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Robbery with violence
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Disguise with intent

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the remaining suspect(s) involved in this case. Caleb SEBBEN – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single vehicle collision that led to the driver being charged with impaired.

On February 9, 2025, shortly after 11:00pm, Peterborough County OPP received a report of a vehicle that had been driving with no lights on, that had now gone off the road on Centre Line in Selwyn Township. A passerby approached the vehicle which was deep in the snow in the ditch facing the wrong direction of travel. Upon speaking to the driver, the passerby contacted the OPP.

Officers attended the scene and observed the vehicle facing north in the ditch adjacent to the southbound lane. The engine of the vehicle was on, and it appeared that the driver was attempting to drive out of the ditch. The officer made their way through waist high snow to the vehicle and made contact with the driver.

After speaking with the driver, the officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD) to which the driver complied. The test resulted in a FAIL reading and the driver was arrested.

Caleb SEBBEN (age 34) of Peterborough, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 11, 2025.

Destiny MEAD – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single vehicle collision that led to the driver being charged with impaired.

On January 14, 2025, shortly after 8:00pm, Peterborough County OPP received a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road at the intersection of 3rd Line and Fairbairn Street. The caller, who was also the driver, advised that their vehicle ended up in the ditch and was stuck.

Officers attended the scene and observed the vehicle to be well off the roadway in a field. Officers located the driver who was displaying signs of impairment and as a result was arrested. The driver was transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment

Destiny MEAD (age 26) of Peterborough, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on February 18, 2025.

Driver On Shrooms Calls Cops, Gets Arrested

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with the first impaired driving charge in 2025.

On Wednesday January 1, 2025, shortly before 8:30am, a 911 call was received by an individual stating his friend was ‘overdosing on mushrooms’. During the call, the individual who was the driver of their vehicle, admitted to also having consumed ‘mushrooms’.

Officers arrived on scene to find EMS already there and assessing one person. Officers approached the driver of the vehicle and after a brief conversation with the driver, the officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a reading of ‘Fail’, at which point they were arrested.  

Kshitij RATHOUR (age 28) of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 28, 2025.

39 Year Old Arrested At RIDE

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after stopping a vehicle that appeared to be avoiding a RIDE check.

On Monday December 23, 2024, just after 10:00pm, Peterborough County OPP officers were conducting R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on Woodland Drive in Selwyn Township. Officers observed an approaching vehicle slow and then turn into a driveway. After a short time, the vehicle exited the driveway and began driving in the opposite direction without anyone being observed exiting the vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke with the driver.

After a brief conversation with the driver, the officer determined they were under the influence of alcohol. The officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail at which point they were arrested.  

Brian WALKER (age 39) of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 28, 2025.

20 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving – Name Released

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after receiving a complaint about a vehicle stopped on Chemong Road.

On Saturday December 14, 2024, the Peterborough County OPP received a call from a concerned motorist reporting that a vehicle was parked on the side of the road with the engine running and what appeared to be vomit on the driver’s side door. The caller reported that the driver also appeared to be sleeping in the vehicle.

Officers arrived on scene to find the driver asleep behind the wheel. Officers woke the individual and determined that they were under the influence of alcohol at which point they were arrested.

Jackson ENDICOTT (age 20) of Selwyn Township, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Young Driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 21, 2025.

Paul GERELUS – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after stopping at a R.I.D.E. program.

On December 5, 2024, just prior to 10:30pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Ward Street in Bridgenorth. A vehicle entered the R.I.D.E. program and an officer spoke with the driver. After a brief conversation with the driver, the officer determined they were under the influence of alcohol. The officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail at which point they were arrested.

Paul GERELUS (age 57) of Selwyn Township, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 7, 2025.

Marliese MARON – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TWP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after receiving a report of a possible impaired driver after their vehicle went into a ditch.

On Saturday November 2, 2024, at approximately 7:15pm, Peterborough County OPP officers received a report of a possible impaired driver on Young’s Point Road. The complainant advised that the vehicle had left the roadway going into the ditch. The complainant stopped to check on the driver who did not want any assistance. The complainant contacted the OPP providing details of what had happened. A second motorist stopped to assist and stayed with the driver until police arrived.

Officers arrived a short time later and after a brief conversation, determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at which point they were arrested.

Marliese MARON (age 54) of Selwyn Township, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on November 26, 2024.

Derrick GEORGE – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after a traffic stop.

On Sunday July 7, 2024, at approximately 1:30pm, an officer from the Peterborough County OPP detachment conducted a traffic stop after observing an individual driving while not wearing a seat belt. The officer approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver and advised the driver that he would be making a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail at which point they were arrested.

Derrick GEORGE (age 59) of Ennismore, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 6, 2024.

Jacob SIMMONS Was Arrested

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called shortly after 11:00pm on May 1, 2024, to investigate a theft of alcohol from a business located in Selwyn Township. The complainant reported that the suspect took a bottle of alcohol and then left the store making no effort to pay for them. The store was able to obtain a vehicle description as well as a licence plate number which was provided to officers.

A database inquiry of the licence plate was conducted, and it was determined that the plates were not for the vehicle described.

OPP Officers located the individual shortly after 12:30am on May 2, 2024, where they were arrested. The driver of the vehicle supplied a G2 licence as identification but was determined to be a suspended driver. A search of the vehicle was conducted by officers and a shotgun and ammunition were located along with two unsealed bottles of alcohol.

Jacob SIMMONS (age 19) of Selwyn Township, ON, was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft under $5000-shoplifting
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle
  • Drive while under suspension
  • Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Connor HELE – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver has been charged with Impaired driving after their vehicle was stopped for speeding.

On April 6, 2024, at approximately 10:30pm, the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle for speeding on Chemong Road in Selwyn Township. The officer who was conducting speed enforcement, obtained a speed reading of 95km/hr in the posted 50km/hr zone and initiated a traffic stop.

While dealing with the driver, the officer detected an odour of alcohol and made an Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand. The driver provided a sample of his breath and as a result was arrested.

Connor HELE (age 24) of Selwyn Township, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive speed

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 7, 2024.
