David EDEN Was Arrested

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on December 05, 2025, in the Municipality of Huron East. 

Just before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 05, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Victoria Street in Seaforth. The police vehicle was equipped with Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology, which alerted the vehicle’s licence plate. The driver was found to be suspended from driving and was additionally arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

David EDEN, 63 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with four offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 12, 2026.

Randall MANDAMIN Was Arrested

(ATIKAMEKSHENG FIRST NATION, ON) – Police  arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation after investigating a vehicle in a ditch.

On Sunday December 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Atikameksheng First Nation Police, observed a vehicle in a ditch on Nora Road, Atikameksheng First Nation.

The driver was not injured and was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Randall MANDAMIN, 51 years-of-age, from Atikameksheng First Nation, was charged with, operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2026, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Giuseppe CARUSO Was Arrested

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals following a traffic complaint that led to an impaired driving investigation and drug seizure in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on December 13, 2025, Nottawasaga OPP responded to a traffic complaint regarding a pickup truck swerving on and off the road of Highway 89, west of Cookstown. Officers located the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop on Dunham Drive in Alliston.

As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. Officers also seized a small quantity of suspected cocaine from the vehicle.

The driver, Giuseppe CARUSO, 52-years-old, of Courtice, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

• Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine

• Driving while under suspension

The passenger, Summer MYERS, 20-years-old, of Bowmanville, has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine

Both accused parties were released on a Form 10 Undertaking. The driver is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Mark Glen – Drunk Driving

(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual from Zorra is facing impaired driving related charges following a call for a disturbance.

On December 14, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a disturbance on Delatre Street in Thamesford. Officers attended and spoke with a driver of a vehicle that had been involved in a single vehicle collision. There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision.

Mark Glen, 49-years-old, of Thamesford, is charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on February 3, 2026.

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one people after responding to a call for service in the Town of Renfrew.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a call for service in the Town of Renfrew. 

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas GAUTHIER age 32 of Madawaska Valley Township was charged with:

–      Operation while impaired- drug  

–      Possession of a schedule I substance 

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 14, 2026.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the Town of Renfrew. 

As a result of the investigation, Neal GIBBONS age 29 of Renfrew was charged with:

–      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) 

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 7, 2026.

Drew REID Was Arrested

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. 

On December 9, 2025 at 11:53 p.m. Huntsville O.P.P. officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 11, southbound near Aspdin Road.

Police arrived on scene and located a male hiding in the snow a short distance away from the vehicle. The male was determined to be impaired and subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Drew REID, 31 years old of MARMORA Ontario, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Fail to Remain (scene of collision)

The accused was released and is to appear in February 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to a shoplifting call in the Town of Renfrew.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Renfrew OPP responded to a shoplifting call for service in the Town of Renfrew.

As a result of the investigation, Brittany CIPHERY-ABBOUD age 29 of Renfrew was charged with:

–      Theft under $5000- Shoplifting

–      Fail to comply with probation order  

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Aaliyah-Lynnel Smith Was Arrested

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual from Burlington is facing multiple charges after a single vehicle collision on Highway 403.

On December 14, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that had occurred on Highway 403, in Norwich Township. It was reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the center median.

Officers attended and spoke with the lone occupant of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision. Through investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and seized suspected cocaine.

Additional offence-related property that was seized includes a weigh scale and packaging.

Aaliyah-Lynnel Smith, 22-years-old, of Burlington, has been charged with:

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 20, 2025.

Christopher RICH Was Arrested

(HENVEY INLET, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On December 13, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m. the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Pickerel River Road in Henvey Inlet First Nation. Officers attended and initiated an impaired driving investigation and discovered the vehicle involved was stolen from Halton Region.

Christopher RICH, 37 years-of-age of Mississauga was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Operation while prohibited – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Driving while under suspension – four counts
  • Possession of an identity document
  • Having care and control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on January 5, 2026. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

10 Year Old Deceasd Following Collision

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – A 10-year-old child, injured in a head-on collision east of Perth, has died in hospital.

The collision was reported on Highway 7, between Drummond School Road and Drummond Concession 7, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, just before 4:30 p.m.

An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in a marked cruiser when it was struck by an oncoming pick-up truck.

There were three people in the pick-up. The injured child was transported to a regional trauma centre by Air Ornge, but was tragically declared deceased the following day. The two other people remain in hospital, being treated for serious injuries.

The OPP officer is recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation by the Lanark County OPP is continuing, with assistance from Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.

Anyone with information or potentially relevant dashcam video, who has not yet spoken with officers, should call the Lanark County Detachment at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E251673466.

Thomas GREEN – Drunk Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On December 14, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision on 14th Line in New Tecumseth. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had left the roadway and overturned in a steep ditch. Three occupants were assisted from the wreckage with the help of emergency services. Two passengers sustained significant injuries, were transported to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

During the investigation, officers determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to a local hospital as a precaution and later discharged with minor injuries.

As a result, Thomas GREEN, 23 years old, of New Tecumseth, has been charged with:

  • Operation causing bodily harm
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on January 15, 2026. The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

With the Christmas and holiday season approaching, the OPP is reminding motorists to make safe choices. Impaired driving puts lives at risk and can turn celebrations into tragedies. Plan ahead by arranging a designated driver, using public transportation, or calling a taxi or rideshare service. Do not drive impaired.

Buggy Collision – 4 Injured

(PERTH EAST, ON) – Four people are injured following a collision involving a motor vehicle and horse and buggy in the Township of Perth East.

On December 15, 2025 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Paramedic Services, Perth East Fire Department, and Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision on Perth Road 116 near Perth Line 72 near Wellsley.

Just before 4:30 p.m. a vehicle stuck a horse and buggy carrying four passengers. All passengers of the buggy sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local trauma centre. One of the passengers was later transported by Ornge Air Ambulance to another trauma centre for life threatening injuries. The driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured.

Perth Road 116 was temporarily closed as the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team assisted with the investigation. Resources have cleared the area and the road has since been reopened.

This investigation remains ongoing. More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – The Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged three drivers with impaired-related offences in November.

On Monday November 10, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Kirkland Lake OPP conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle travelling over the posted speed limit. Upon speaking with the driver, officers believed that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result, Quinton JOHN, a 35-year-old of Dobie Township was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

·      Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt- excessive speed

·      Careless driving

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a fourteen-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on December 18, 2025.

On Sunday November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the Kirkland Lake OPP attended a single motor vehicle collision on Government Road, West, Kirkland Lake. Upon speaking with the driver, officers believed that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver was transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result, Janet CALDWELL, a 28-year-old of Larder Lake was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

·      Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available

·      Drive motor vehicle with container of liquor

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on December 18, 2025.

On Sunday November 30,2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Kirkland Lake OPP were conducting general patrol when the Automated Licence Plate Recognition System notified police of a possible suspended driver. A traffic stop was conducted on Highway 11 in Grenfell Township. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver refused to comply with additional testing and was subsequently arrested.

As a result, Ajay TANGRI, a 27-year-old of New Liskeard was arrested and charged for Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on January 8, 2026.

Recycling Gun Leads To Charges

(KENORA, ON) – On November 22, 2025, members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information regarding several items resembling firearms that had been discarded in a public-access recycling bin. The investigation revealed that several BB guns, along with a firearm, had been dropped off at the public-access recycling bin.

As a result of the investigation, Jean Leon Marion, age 60, of Kenora, Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Careless handling of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition, contrary to Section 86(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.

The OPP reminds members of the public that firearms must be handled and disposed of safely and in accordance with the law. Improper disposal of firearms poses a significant risk to community safety.
