Monika PUCZYNSKI – Drunk Driving

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver following a single-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Port Hope.

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Morris Church Road. The caller described a passenger vehicle with a lone occupant. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were also dispatched to the scene.

After speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The individual was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital with non-serious injuries.

As a result, Monika PUCZYNSKI (36) from Oshawa, has been charged with:

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

–      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

–      Dangerous operation

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in December. A further 90-day Administrative Driver License Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.

More Impaired Drivers – MCCORMACK, LINDSAY-CAMPBELL & STOREY

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in several impaired driving investigations over the weekend.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop for speeding, the driver was arrested for impaired.

Sean MCCORMACK, age 38, from Oshawa, was charged with:

•               Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit

•               Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•               Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 4, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Quinte West OPP were conducting R.I.D.E., an approved screening device was utilized and the driver arrested for impaired.

Jordan LINDSAY-CAMPBELL, age 30, from Tyendinaga, was charged with:

•        Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

•        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 4, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

On Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act infraction, the driver was arrested for impaired.

Peyton STOREY, age 32, from Clarington, was charged with:

•               Obstruct plate

•               Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

•               Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•               Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•               Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 18, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

$1.8 Million Cocaine Bust

(Municipality of Shuniah, ON) – Two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Shuniah.

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, shortly before 11:30 a.m., members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for a violation under the Highway Traffic Act. During the investigation, officers located 18 kilograms of suspected cocaine inside the vehicle. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $1,800,000. Following further investigation, the following charges were laid:

Kaiona HAZEL, age 26 of Oshawa was charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Traffick in Schedule I Substance – cocaine

Ashley NEWELL, age 29 of Ajax was charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Traffick in Schedule I substance – cocaine

Both accused were held for bail and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.

Paul STEWART & Tui MCGREGOR – Impaired Driving

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals with impaired operation in unrelated incidents.

On October 26, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., an OPP cruiser was traveling westbound on Highway 401 in the Township of Hamilton when it was passed by a passenger vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was stopped, and after speaking with the driver, the officer began an impaired driving investigation. The individual was transported to a local detachment for further testing.

Paul STEWART (50), of Oshawa, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On October 26, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle being driven without lights along County Road 50 in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Officers located the vehicle and, after speaking with the driver, entered into an impaired driving investigation. The motorist was taken into custody and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

As a result, Tui MCGREGOR (47), of Havelock, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

Both accused are due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in December. A further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.

Pedestrian Ambushed and Beaten Nearly to Death in Shocking Street Attack

A male is in custody after an assault in Oshawa that left the victim in life-threatening condition.  

On Monday, October 6, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m., members from Central East Division responded to an assault in progress call in the area of Ritson Road North and Taunton Road East. Officers attended and located a male victim suffering from obvious signs of trauma.

Witnesses provided information that the victim was crossing the street when the suspect approached him from behind and began assaulting him in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack. The victim and accused are not known to one another.

The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre and is currently in life-threatening condition. The male suspect was located nearby and arrested without incident.

Dwayne WALLEN, age 33, of Oshawa is charged with: Aggravated Assault.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Three Suspects Held on Firearms-Related Offences Following OPP Stop in Oshawa

(OSHAWA, ON) – Three individuals are facing firearms-related charges following a traffic stop in Oshawa. On Friday, September 19, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD) Highway 407 and Toronto Detachments conducted a traffic stop on Highway 407 near Harmony Road in Oshawa, Ontario.

As a result of the traffic stop, Inderjeet GOSAL, 36 years old, from Caledon, Jagdeep SINGH, 41 years old, from Pickville, New York, USA, and Arman SINGH, 23 years old, from Toronto, were arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Careless use of a firearm

·      Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·      Carrying concealed weapon

·      Unauthorized possession of a firearm – two counts

·      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm

·      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon

·      Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition

·      Breach of firearms regulation (transport firearm or restricted weapon)

·      Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm

·      Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Oshawa on Monday, September 22, 2025.

This incident is part of an ongoing investigation. As a result, no further information will be released at this time.
