Officer Struck By Vehicle – 2 Arrested

(Orillia, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals following an incident where an officer was struck by a vehicle attempting to flee police.

On March 30, 2024, about 7:37 a.m., Orillia OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint at Ridge Road West and Black Forest Lane in Oro-Medonte Township. It was reported to police that the driver was asleep and slumped over the steering wheel of a parked vehicle with its engine running. 

Upon arriving on scene, the officer attended the vehicle in question to investigate – opening the door to check on the driver. The individual in the driver seat woke up and became combative with the officer, shifting the vehicle into reverse and striking the officer with the vehicle in attempts to flee. Moments later other officers arrived to assist and the vehicle attempting to flee was stopped by a police cruiser – making contact with it. The driver did not comply with demands to exit the vehicle and had to be removed by officers. The driver was placed under arrest – as was an individual who was a passenger in the vehicle.

Following the arrest police continued their investigation and recovered a quantity of drugs, cash and weapons including a loaded 9mm handgun which was accessible to the driver and passenger. Thankfully the officer struck by the vehicle only suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Simcoe County Paramedics. Orillia OPP Major Crime Unit also assisted with the investigation. Both arrested and charged individuals were on probation at the time of the incident and prohibited from having weapons. The driver was also prohibited from driving.

Gary Hirsch, 33 years old, of Barrie, has been charged with 32 criminal charges:

·      Possession of controlled substance for purpose of trafficking

·      Assault Police with a weapon

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Flight from Police

·      Operation while prohibited

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Impaired Operation

·      Weapons related charges x12

Ashley McLinden, 33 years old, of Barrie, has been charged with 26 criminal charges:

·      Fail to comply with probation order x3

·      Fraud related charges x5

·      Stolen property related charges x3

·      Possession of controlled substance x2

·      Possession of controlled substance for purpose of trafficking

·      Obstruct Peace Officer

·      Weapons related charges x11

Both accused have been held in police custody pending a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing. No further details to be released at this time.

Stolen Firearm Recovered – Two Arrested

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachments Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid multiple firearms related charges against two individuals.

In March of 2024, the Orillia CSCU executed a search warrant for controlled drugs and substances at a residence within the City of Orillia, during the search, an illegal firearm was located and seized. The Orillia CSCU commenced an investigation regarding the firearm; learning that in the fall of 2023 the firearm was stolen from a vehicle which was parked in the north end of Orillia. The victim was assaulted just prior to having the firearm stolen. The firearm was later sold to persons unlicensed to possess.

Orillia CSCU was assisted by OPP Orillia Major Crime Unit.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been arrested and charged:

David SHIRK, 37 years old, of Ramara, has been charged with:

·      Trafficking in Firearm

·      Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

·      Robbery with Violence

·      Possession of firearm contrary with Prohibition Order

·      Failure to Comply with Release Order

Ashlee RUSBY, 29 years old, of Orillia has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Robbery with Violence
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order

The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Francesco (Frank) Benincasa Was Arrested

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Rackets Branch (ARB) Economic Crimes and Corruption Unit has laid charges in a multi-jurisdictional fraud investigation.

In July 2018, the North Bay OPP Detachment received several fraud complaints in relation to a $6 million-dollar syndicated mortgage investment into BioNorth Technology Real Estate Ltd (2423704 Ontario Inc.), also operating as the BioNorth Tech Group. 

In January 2019, the OPP’s ARB Economic Crimes and Corruption Unit assumed the investigation due to its complex and multi-jurisdictional nature.

As a result of the investigation, police charged one person under the Criminal Code in connection with the investigation.

Francesco (Frank) Benincasa, age 59, of Concord, Ontario, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Fraud Over $5000
  • False Pretences
  • Use of a Forged Document

The accused was arrested on March 13, 2024, and was subsequently released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on April 30, 2024. 

According to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC), Canadians reported losing more than $568 million to frauds in 2023. It is estimated that only five to 10 per cent of victims report frauds to the CAFC or law enforcement.

More Impaired Drivers

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have three individuals with impaired driving related offences.

On April 21, 2024, at about 1:24 a.m., an Orillia OPP officer was conducting proactive traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 11 and Line 14 in Oro-Medonte Township. A vehicle was recorded travelling 60 km/hr over the posted speed limit. As a result the vehicle was pulled over and the driver spoken to. The driver claimed not to have consumed any alcohol however as a result of the investigation it was determined he was impaired by alcohol and arrested.

As a result, Olola Gamaliel, 29-years-old, from North Bay has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs.
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed

On April 21, 2024, at about 3:27 a.m., an Orillia OPP officer while conducting proactive traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 12 in Ramara Township pulled a vehicle over as part of a Highway Traffic Act investigation. It was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and subsequently arrested.

As a result, Joseph Perrault, 32-years-old, from Seagrave has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs.

On April 23, 2024, at about 7:47 p.m., Orillia OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint. It was reported that an individual who had been consuming alcohol was operating a vehicle. Responding officers patrolled the area and were soon alerted that the individual had returned to a residence. Police attended the residence in question and spoke to the driver. During the investigation it was determined that the individual was impaired by alcohol and confirmed to have been operating a vehicle just prior. This individual was then arrested.

As a result, Cody Mills, 33-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

All persons in these unrelated investigations are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in May 2024. As a result of these charges each of their driver’s licences has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for a period of 7 days.

Hit & Run – Two Arrested

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have two individuals as part of an impaired driving and stolen property investigation.

On April 21, 2024, at about 2:51 p.m., Orillia OPP responded to a minor motor vehicle collision where one of the involved vehicles failed to remain at the scene. Officers patrolled for the vehicle in question and spotted it travelling southbound on Highway 11 near Line 15 in Oro-Medonte Township. The vehicle was stopped and responding officers commenced their investigation. The driver of the vehicle was suspected to be impaired by drug, underwent a drug recognition evaluation and failed. As the investigation continued it was determined that the driver and passenger were in possession of stolen property. Recovered were two landscaping tampers.

As a result, Brock Buckingham, 39-years-old, from Innisfil has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x2
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Failure to stop after accident

The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing. As a result of the impaired related charges his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.

John Thorn, 32-years-old, from Innisfil has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x2
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance – opioid (other than heroin)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in May 2024.

6 More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged 6 individuals with impaired operation related charges in the past 7 days.

On April 13, 2024, at about 3:45 a.m., an officer from the Orillia OPP was conducting proactive patrol in the area of Mississaga Street West in the City of Orillia. During this proactive activity the officer observed a vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped by police and during the traffic stop the officer determined the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Megan Cousins, 18-years-old, from Barrie has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs.

On April 13, 2024, at about 7:48 p.m., an officer from the Orillia OPP was conducting proactive patrol in the area of Laclie Street in the City of Orillia. While in the area the officer observed a vehicle travel on a closed portion of the road. The vehicle was stopped by police and the investigation led police to suspect the driver was impaired by drugs. The driver underwent a drug recognition evaluation and failed.

As a result, Donald Richardson, 53-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs.
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine.

On April 14, 2024, at about 2:56 a.m., officers from the Orillia OPP were conducting proactive patrol in the area of Colbourne Street East in the City of Orillia. A vehicle in the area was observed to be driving poorly and as such was stopped by police for further investigation. The investigation that followed led police to suspect the driver was impaired by drugs. The driver underwent a drug recognition evaluation and failed. It was also determined the driver was driving while prohibited.

As a result, Jason Gethons, 44-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs.
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

On April 14, 2024, at about 2:36 p.m., officers from Orillia OPP were dispatched to a local hotel in the City of Orillia regarding a guest who was no longer welcome to stay there. Officers arrived and helped mediate the situation and the individual packed belongings in order to depart the hotel. It was observed by the officers that the individual was impaired by drugs and despite direction by police not to drive his vehicle. The individual got in the vehicle and attempted to close the door. Police stopped this from happening and promptly arrested the individual.

As a result, Brett Supinski, 28-years-old, from Loyalist Township has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

On April 18, 2024, at about 3:24 p.m., officers from Orillia OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint where it was reported a pick-up truck was travelling at a high rate of speed while southbound on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte Township. Roughly 10 minutes later Orillia OPP were alerted to the same vehicle being in the ditch on 15/16 Sideroad. Officers attended and the driver was found to be impaired and was then arrested. 

As a result, Nicholas De Faria, 29-years-old, from Bradford has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

On April 20, 2024, at about 3:55 p.m., officers from Orillia OPP were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 400 Northbound near Vasey Road in Severn Township. It was reported that a pick-up truck had rolled over onto its roof – Simcoe County Paramedics who were in the area were at the scene moments later. It was reported that the driver got out of the vehicle and was asking for a piece of gum from others on scene. Police attended and arrested the driver after determining they were impaired by alcohol. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to an Orillia Hospital with minor injuries.

As a result, Cameron Kilpatrick, 29-years-old, from Midland has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code. X2
  • Fail to comply with probation order.

All persons in these unrelated investigations are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in May and June 2024. As a result of these charges each of their driver’s licences has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for a period of 7 days.

Justin EIKELENBOOM Was Arrested

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male driver with a weapons related charge.

On April 11, 2024 just before 9:00 p.m., officers of the Orillia OPP were on patrol in the area of Colborne Street West in the City of Orillia when a motor vehicle was observed driving erratically, drawing the officers attention.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and spoke with the male driver. Through investigation, officers were able to determine the driver was providing a false identity, therefore he was subsequently arrested. A search was conducted which revealed a prohibited weapon.

As a result, Justin EIKELENBOOM 28-year-old, of the City of Orillia has been charged with:

  • Possession of Prohibited device contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer contrary to section 129 (a) CCC
  • Driving while under suspension contrary to section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

OPP Now Catching Drunk Drivers Every Couple Hours #TimesUp

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals with impaired operation related charges.

On April 4, 2024, at about 7:55 p.m., an officer from the Orillia OPP was proactively patrolling the area of West St S in the City of Orillia and conducted a traffic stop having observed a Highway Traffic Act violation. The resulting investigation led the officer to determine that the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The individual was then arrested.

As a result, Michael SQUIRES, 45-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in April 2024. As a result of these charges, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.

On April 4, 2024, at about 11:23 p.m., officers from Orillia OPP were conducting a RIDE program in the area of Highway 12 and Highway 11 in the City of Orillia. During this time a vehicle entered the RIDE program and the driver was read a demand to provide a sample of their breath. The driver refused. This individual was subsequently arrested.

As a result, Victoria HUISMAN, 33-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in May 2024. As a result of these charges, her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.

Drug Bust – 2 Arrested – Names Released

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two individuals for drug trafficking and drug possession related offences.

On April 4, 2024, at about 2:00 p.m., Orillia OPP officers responded to a call for service regarding reports of drug activity at an address in the City of Orillia. Upon arriving at the location officers commenced their investigation and identified several individuals who were present. 5 individuals were arrested and officers continued the investigation. Two individuals were charged at the conclusion of the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:

  • Fentanyl 5.3 grams
  • Cocaine 22 grams
  • 69 medication tablets
  • Scales, packaging
  • Cell phone

Cathy DELONG, 42-years-old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·      Trafficking schedule 1 substance – Cocaine

·      Possession of schedule 1 substance – opioid (other than heroine)

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in May 2024.

Adam NORWOOD, 37-years-old, of Oro-Medonte, has been charged with:

·      Possession of schedule 1 substance – opioid (other than heroine)

8 Drivers Arrested – Names Released

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Rama Police Service have arrested and charged 8 individuals with impaired operation related charges in the past 6 days.

On March 29, 2024, at about 5:45 a.m., officers from Orillia OPP responded to a complaint of a noisy vehicle parked in the area of Walker ave in the City of Orillia. An Officer attended and discovered the vehicle to be running and an individual occupying the drivers seat. As a result of the investigation, it was determined the individual was impaired by alcohol. The individual was then arrested.

As a result, Trevor DASTOUS, 24-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Breach of Probation

On March 29, 2024, at about 11:59 p.m., officers from Orillia OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint where it was reported that individual had left an Orillia establishment impaired and drove away in a vehicle. Information led officers to respond to a separate establishment where the vehicle and individual in question were located. The resulting investigation led police to determine the individual was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Bryce FITZROY, 25-years-old, from Washago has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On March 31, 2024, at about 2:30 a.m., officers from Rama Police Service were conducting a RIDE program in the area of Rama Rd in Rama. During the RIDE program a vehicle was checked by officers and the driver spoken to. As a result of this interaction the individual operating the vehicle was found to be impaired by alcohol and arrested shortly after.

As a result, Austin BARTON, 21-years-old, from Oro-Medonte has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance – cocaine

On April 1, 2024, at about 10:36 p.m., officers from Orillia OPP were dispatched to a report of a vehicle that had gone into the water at the end of West St S in the City of Orillia. Simcoe County Paramedics and Orillia Fire also responded. The uninjured driver of the vehicle was brought shore by paramedics and firefighters. Officers commenced their investigation and determined the driver was impaired by alcohol. This individual was then arrested.

As a result, Cory WILKINSON, 36-years-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On April 2, 2024, at about 3:25 a.m., officers from Orillia OPP were dispatched to a report of an impaired individual occupying a vehicle at an address in the City of Orillia. Officers responded to find the vehicle had departed. As the investigation continued the vehicle and individual were located at a separate address a short time later. It was determined the individual operating the vehicle was impaired and was subsequently arrested.

As a result a 19-year-old female, from Orillia has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

On April 3, 2024, at about 2:26 a.m., an officer from the Orillia OPP was conducting proactive traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 11 in the City of Orillia. During this proactive activity the officer conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop the officer determined the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Shane STILLWELL, 29-years-old, from Ramara has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

All persons in these unrelated investigations are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in April 2024. As a result of these charges each of their driver’s licences has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for a period of 7 days.

Orillia OPP also posted a news release on March 29 2024 in which two persons were arrested and charge for impaired driving offences. In the span of 6 days 8 individuals have been arrested for a total of 15 criminal charges in Orillia OPP and Rama Police Service detachment areas. Impaired driving comes with significant penalties for those arrested and potentially even worse consequences for those behind the wheel and other motorists on our highways. If you are drinking, don’t drive. If you are consuming drugs, don’t drive. Plan ahead:

  • have a designated driver,
  • call a taxi or;
  • stay the night.

94 in a 50 – Wayne ISAACS

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with stunt driving in the City of Orillia.

On March 30, 2024, while conducting traffic patrol on Atherley Rd in the City of Orillia, an officer of the Orillia Detachment conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle traveling at a rate of 94km per hour in a posted 50km per hour zone.

Wayne ISAACS, 58-year-old of Brampton, was charged with:

Adult Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform stunt – Excessive speed.

Adult Use plate not in accordance with Act.

152 in a 90 – Feifan YANG

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with stunt driving in the Township of Oro-Medonte.

On March 31, 2024, while conducting traffic patrol on Hwy 11 North bound in the Township of Oro-Medonte, an officer of the Orillia Detachment conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle traveling at a rate of 152km per hour in a posted 90km per hour zone.

Feifan YANG, 22-year-old of Markham, was charged with:

Adult Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform stunt – Excessive speed.

The driver received a 30-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

2 Charged With Drunk Driving In Care Home “Break-out”

(ORILLIA) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals with impaired driving after an incident at a local care home in Orillia.

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 1:05 p.m., Orillia OPP officers received a report of a resident of a local care home departing with two individuals without the staff’s knowledge. An investigation commenced and extensive patrol measures were employed to locate the individuals and vehicle involved.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., all individuals were located safe by police. Investigations revealed the resident departed the facility consensually with the known individuals. The resident was transferred into the care of Simcoe County Paramedics for precautionary reasons and has since been returned to the care home.

It was determined that the two individuals with the resident had operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol and were arrested.

A 39-year-old female from Orangeville has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol contrary to section

A 50-year-old male from Barrie has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol contrary to section

The names of the accused’s will not be released to protect the identity of the resident.

The two accused’s are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia in April 2024.

Both accused’s driver’s licence have been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.

David Painter Caught Going 168 in an 90

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with stunt driving in the Township of Oro-Medonte.

On March 29, 2024, while conducting traffic patrol on Hwy 11 South bound in the Township of Oro-Medonte, an officer of the Orillia Detachment conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle traveling at a rate of 168km per hour in a posted 90km per hour zone.

David Painter, 41-year-old of Barrie, was charged with:

Adult Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform stunt – Excessive speed.

ALERT: Criminals Impersonating Police – #FilmThePolice #FTP

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachments Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid weapons and drug trafficking related charges against two individuals after executing a search warrant.

In February of 2024, Orillia CSCU began investigating individuals who were allegedly trafficking drugs in the City of Orillia. Utilizing investigative techniques police were able to gather evidence further advancing their investigation. On March 27, 2024 with the assistance of Orillia OPP frontline members a search warrant was executed at an address on Front Street in the City of Orillia and two persons were arrested and charged. Of note, body armor with police insignia was seized.

As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:

  • Mauser M15 .22 caliber rifle
  • .22 and 12 gauge ammunition
  • Prohibited weapons – taser, flick knives, nun chucks
  • Cross bows with bolts
  • Cocaine 422 grams
  • 20 hydromorphone pills
  • Scales, packaging and cutting product
  • ‘Police’ vests and badge
  • Support 81 clothing
  • Canadian Currency $2300

Donald Lee, 51 years old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine and Hydromorphone x2

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      Prohibited operation of a motor vehicle

·      Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·      Possession of a prohibited device

·      Fail to comply with Probation order

·      Unauthorized possession of a firearm

·      Careless storage of a firearm

·      Breach of firearms regulation

The accused remains in custody pending a future bail hearing.

Susan Bazinet, 50 years old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine and Hydromorphone x2

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·      Possession of a prohibited device

·      Unauthorized possession of a firearm

·      Careless storage of a firearm

·      Breach of firearms regulation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in May 2024.
