Pervert Alert: Shane BECKETT

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Members of the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP North West Region Crime Unit have charged a Fort Frances resident following an online child sexual exploitation investigation.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Fort Frances and electronic devices were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Shane BECKETT, aged 53 of Fort Frances, was arrested and charged with two counts of luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Median JACKSON – Armed Robbery, Etc.

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – An eighth person has been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion in the Hillside area, east of Huntsville. Police continue to search for additional suspects. 

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, shortly before 5:00 a.m., officers from the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of an armed home invasion at a private residence in the Hillside area. As the situation developed, the investigation extended beyond the original location, prompting the closure of Highway 11 in both directions between Severn River Road and Coopers Falls Road, and between Canning Road and Graham Road. 

As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Median JACKSON, age 32 of Brampton, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Robbery using firearm (restricted or prohibited), section 344(1)(a) – three counts

• Kidnapping while using firearm – confine, section 279(1.1)(a.1) 

• Forcible confinement, section 279(2) – two counts

• Assault with a weapon, section 267(a)

• Pointing a firearm, section 87

• Firearm – use while committing offence, section 85(1)(a)

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, section 88

• Theft of a motor vehicle, section 333.1

• Conspiracy to commit indictable offence, section 465(1)(c)

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Investigators believe additional suspects, who may be armed and dangerous, remain at-large. The OPP urges the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activity to police.

The Huntsville OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Alexandra MULVEE Facing Numerous Charges

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – An individual from Thunder Bay is facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation.

In November 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), with assistance from the Thunder Bay Police Service, began an intelligence-led investigation into drug trafficking activity in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, two search warrants were executed on Balmoral Street and Simpson Street in Thunder Bay. As a result of the search warrants, the following items were seized:

  • Firearm, ammunition and a high-capacity magazine
  • Approximately 460 g suspected cocaine
  • Conducted energy weapon
  • High-end jewellery valued at approximately $65,000
  • Approximately C$38,000 cash
  • Cell phones and electronic devices

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $46,000.

Alexandra MULVEE, age 27 of Thunder Bay, has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, s. 91(1) CC
  • Careless storage of a firearm, s. 86(1) CC
  • Possession of a prohibited device, s. 92(2) – two counts
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, s. 88 CC
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon, s. 91(2)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, s. 354(1)(a) CC
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, s. 5(2) CDSA

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on Wednesday March 25, 2026.

Emile Boutet – Drunk Driving

(COBALT, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving following an investigation in the Town of Cobalt.

On Friday, February 13, 2026, at approximately 11:45 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) initiative when officers checked a vehicle on Lang Street in Cobalt.

Officers approached and spoke with the driver. As a result of the interaction and subsequent investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to the Temiskaming OPP Detachment for further testing.

Emile Boutet, 36 years of age, of Temiskaming Shores has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on March 10, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to the charges, the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

19 Year Old Deceased Following Collision

(NORTH PERTH, ON)- On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Paramedic Services and local Fire Services, responded to a two‑vehicle collision on Perth Line 72 near Perth Road 140 in the Municipality of North Perth.

Emergency responders attempted life‑saving measures upon arrival; however, a 19‑year‑old female from Atwood, Ontario, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger was transported to a local hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to a local hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.

Perth Line 72 was closed between Road 147 and Road 136 for several hours while members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team conducted an investigation. The roadway reopened at approximately 5:40 a.m.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time is asked to contact the Perth County OPP at 1‑888‑310‑1122. Stephen MITCHELL – Drunk Driving

(PETAWAWA, ON) – A mid-morning traffic stop has resulted in Criminal Code (CC) impaired driving charges for a Petawawa resident. 

On February 17, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Victoria Street in Petawawa after receiving information about a possible impaired driver. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.   

As a result of this investigation 54-year-old Stephen MITCHELL has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 10, 2026.

Drug Bust – Amanda BOUCHARD & James NETEMEGESIC

(LAKE HELEN, ON) – Members of the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two individuals for drug trafficking after a search warrant was conducted at a local residence.

On February 18th, 2026, members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Nipigon OPP and the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) conducted a search warrant at a residence in the First Nation Territory of Lake Helen. During the search police located suspected crack cocaine, methamphetamine pills and Canadian currency valued at $1895.00. The drugs have a combined street value of approximately $11, 250.00.

As a result of this investigation, Amanda BOUCHARD, 46-years of Lake Helen, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

James NETEMEGESIC, 35-years of Lake Helen, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Both accused were remanded into custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay.

Kenneth MOSS – Theft

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged one individual after a months long investigation into stolen property.

On January 2, 2026, Orillia OPP members responded to a report of a theft occurrence at Horseshoe Valley Ski Resort in Oro-Medonte Township. Officers from the detachment attended to conduct the investigation, utilizing the skills of a Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) to collect evidence. It was found that a safe containing over $17,000 had been stolen from the location over night.

Through investigation, and with assistance from the Orillia Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), one individual has been charged criminally.

Kenneth MOSS (49), of Penetanguishene, is facing the following charge:

–      Theft Over $5000 (CC)

The accused was released from custody with a future court date to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.

Adam MELANSON Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with multiple offences after the execution of a search warrant at a local motel.

On February 16, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the North Bay OPP – Mattawa Detachment, began an investigation involving the theft of fuel from a local gas station, the suspect vehicle was reported to be traveling west on Highway 17. With the assistance of the North Bay Detachment and the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) Team of the OPP, the vehicle was located in North Bay but failed to stop for police and continued west bound.

Later that evening, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP located the vehicle parked at a hotel in West Nipissing. With the assistance of the North Bay Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the OPP, one person was arrested without incident and a search warrant was executed on both the vehicle and hotel room.

A search of the both the vehicle, which had been reported stolen and the hotel room, led to the seizure of various stolen credit cards, bank cards, personal property and drugs suspected to be cannabis.

As a result of the investigation, Adam MELANSON, 42-years-of-age, from Riverview, New Brunswick, who also had two outstanding arrest warrants for robbery out of New Brunswick was charged with:

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Dangerous operation
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration
  • Flight peace officer
  • Driver fail to surrender licence
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court – four counts

The accused was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 25, 2026, in North Bay.

Drug Bust – Willa CARRIER

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – Members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Brant and Norfolk Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) assisted in an investigation led by the Oxford OPP CSCU. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and offence-related property, from a residence in Tillsonburg.

On February 18th, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m., police arrested one individual in relation to a search warrant on Venison Street, in the Town of Tillsonburg.

As a result of the investigation, Willa CARRIER a 57-year-old resident of Tillsonburg has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on May 12, 2026.

Brandon HULL & Harpreet BRAR – Impaired Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) (ADJALA-TOSORONTIO, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals with impaired driving offences following traffic complaints for suspected impaired drivers.

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, shortly after 10:00 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint for a possible impaired driver who had been swerving all over the road, turning the opposite direction of their turn signal and while fueling at a gas station they were observed staggering and almost fell into the pump. Police located the vehicle in Alliston and conducted a traffic stop.

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, shortly after 5:30 p.m., the Nottawasaga OPP received another traffic complaint for a possible impaired driver who had driven into a ditch before managing to continue driving north on Adjala-Tecumseth Townline. The driver was swerving all over the road, driving at speeds exceeding the speed limit and had failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle took out a mailbox and came to a stop in the ditch. Officers arrived on scene and began an impaired investigation.

As a result of the investigations, officers arrested both drivers for impaired operation. 

The driver from the first complaint, Brandon HULL, a 36-year-old, of Niagara Falls, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The driver from the second complaint, Harpreet BRAR, a 38-year-old, of Brampton, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused parties were released on Form 10 Undertakings and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford to answer to the charges. They had their drivers licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Alexander CROWN Facing Numerous Charges

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – One individual has been charged with multiple offences after a stolen vehicle was stopped.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, just before 9:00 a.m., an officer with the Lennox and Addington County OPP was on general patrol on Highway 401 in Greater Napanee when they observed a vehicle bearing a licence plate that did not appear to be authentic. The vehicle proceeded to accelerate at a high rate of speed and exit the highway before losing control on County Road 41 near Goodyear Road in Greater Napanee.

The accused was subsequently placed under arrest. Investigation revealed the vehicle to have been stolen.

As a result, Alexander CROWN, age 27, of Toronto was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Dangerous operation
  • Possession of break in instruments
  • Possession of a credit card
  • Failure to comply with release order – four counts
  • Breach of recognizance – two counts
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle
  • Drive motor vehicle, fail to display two plates
  • Permit use of plate not in accordance with act

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Daniel FOREST Arrested

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest after recovering a stolen vehicle and locating the driver after they had fled.

On Monday February 9, 2026, shortly before noon, Peterborough County OPP officers received a call related to a suspicious vehicle that had turned into a residence’s driveway and had remained there. The caller approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver who provided an explanation that the caller didn’t believe. The caller provided police with a description of the vehicle and the driver.

An officer was dispatched and while on their way to the location, observed a vehicle matching the description, stopped at the side of the road with the driver behind the wheel. The officer made a turn to go speak with the driver who upon seeing the police cruiser, sped away from the area. 

A short while later, OPP were advised that the vehicle had been located within Peterborough City, but the driver had fled the scene. Officers were able to identify the driver, and it was also determined that the vehicle had been stolen. On Monday February 16, 2026, OPP officers were advised that the suspect had been taken into custody by Peterborough Police Service (PPS) on a different matter. Officers attended the PPS detachment and the individual was arrested. 

Daniel FOREST (age 36) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with;

• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

• Flight from peace officer

• Dangerous operation 

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

 – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to single motor vehicle collision.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in Whitewater Region Township. 

As a result of the investigation, Ethan WARBURTON age 27 of Whitewater Region Township was charged with:

–      Operation while impaired- alcohol

–      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)  

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 11, 2026.
