Another School Bus Collision

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual has been charged after a two-vehicle collision in St. Clair Township.

On December 12, 2025, just before 7:00 a.m., members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and St. Clair Township Fire Department responded to a report of a collision involving a school bus and minivan at the intersection of Plank Road and Lasalle Line.

The collision resulted in both vehicles becoming engulfed in flames. There were students on board the school bus at the time of the collision. The drivers and students were able to safely exit the vehicles prior to the fire.

The driver of the minivan was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. One student was assessed at the scene for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, the driver of the school bus, a 68-year-old individual from Petrolia, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Fail to Yield to Traffic.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Provincial Offences Court in Sarnia at a later date.

More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND & THE NATION, ON) – Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested three motorists for impaired driving related charges.

On Friday, December 12, at approximately 00:45 a.m., officers set-up at a RIDE check and stopped a vehicle. During the investigation an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was used, the driver failed the test and was brought back to detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 37-year-old, Joshua Lloyd-Hamilton, of Curran, Ontario, was charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol CC
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The motorist received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

On Saturday, December 13, at 04:38 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-car collision on County Road 17 in Clarence-Rockland. Upon arrival on scene officers requested that one of the drivers provide a breath sample into an Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver refused to provide a sufficient breath sample.

As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old, Franck Juvenal, of Laval, Quebec was charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:

  • Failure of refusal to comply with demand

The motorist received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

On Monday, December 15, at approximately 04:04 a.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle in the snowbank on east bound Highway 417.

Officers attended the scene and during the investigation an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was used, the driver failed the test and was brought back to detachment for further testing. The driver refused to comply during further testing. 

As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old, Cedrik Pierre-Louis, of Gloucester, Ontario was charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol CC
  • Failure of refusal to comply with demand

The motorist received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

The Ontario Provincial Police would like to remind motorists, that if found guilty, the penalties for failing or refusing to provide a sufficient sample of breath are the same as impaired driving.

David EDEN Was Arrested

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on December 05, 2025, in the Municipality of Huron East. 

Just before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 05, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Victoria Street in Seaforth. The police vehicle was equipped with Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology, which alerted the vehicle’s licence plate. The driver was found to be suspended from driving and was additionally arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

David EDEN, 63 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with four offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 12, 2026.

Howick Home Invasion -Robert DOUGHERTY Arrested #StandYourGround

(HOWICK TWP, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual following a report of a break-in at a residence in the Village of Gorrie, Howick Township. 

On Sunday, November 30, 2025, just after 11:00 p.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about a break and enter in progress. Police arrived on scene and met with the caller. The report was deemed unfounded, and the caller was subsequently charged with the following offences:

Robert DOUGHERTY, 64 years-of-age of Howick Twp has been charged with the following offences:

–      Careless Store of Firearm, Prohibited Device, or Ammunition,

–      Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 05, 2026.

Randall MANDAMIN Was Arrested

(ATIKAMEKSHENG FIRST NATION, ON) – Police  arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation after investigating a vehicle in a ditch.

On Sunday December 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Atikameksheng First Nation Police, observed a vehicle in a ditch on Nora Road, Atikameksheng First Nation.

The driver was not injured and was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Randall MANDAMIN, 51 years-of-age, from Atikameksheng First Nation, was charged with, operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2026, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Shots Fired Into Residence – Jashanpreet SINGH Arrested

(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged one individual in relation to a shooting incident in the Town of Caledon.

On Monday, August 4, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Caledon OPP received reports of multiple gunshots fired at an occupied residence on Petch Avenue. No injuries were reported. Two individuals believed to be involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit, with the assistance from the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Central Region Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team members executed search warrants at two separate locations in Caledon. 

As a result of the investigation, Jashanpreet SINGH, 22, from Caledon, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

• Discharge a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner, s. 244.2(1)(a)

• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, s. 91(1)

• Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, s. 264.1(1)(a)

• Participation in criminal organization, s. 467.11

The accused was further charged with the following CC offences after multiple vehicles were vandalized at a dealership in Caledon on Tuesday, July 8, 2025:

• Mischief over $5,000, s. 430(3)

• Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, s. 264.1(1)(a)

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Friday, December 19, 2025.

The Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit continues to investigate under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from the OPP Central Region Community Street Crime Unit and Peel Regional Police.

Giuseppe CARUSO Was Arrested

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals following a traffic complaint that led to an impaired driving investigation and drug seizure in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on December 13, 2025, Nottawasaga OPP responded to a traffic complaint regarding a pickup truck swerving on and off the road of Highway 89, west of Cookstown. Officers located the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop on Dunham Drive in Alliston.

As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. Officers also seized a small quantity of suspected cocaine from the vehicle.

The driver, Giuseppe CARUSO, 52-years-old, of Courtice, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

• Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine

• Driving while under suspension

The passenger, Summer MYERS, 20-years-old, of Bowmanville, has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine

Both accused parties were released on a Form 10 Undertaking. The driver is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Mark Glen – Drunk Driving

(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual from Zorra is facing impaired driving related charges following a call for a disturbance.

On December 14, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a disturbance on Delatre Street in Thamesford. Officers attended and spoke with a driver of a vehicle that had been involved in a single vehicle collision. There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision.

Mark Glen, 49-years-old, of Thamesford, is charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on February 3, 2026.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a call for service in the Town of Renfrew. 

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas GAUTHIER age 32 of Madawaska Valley Township was charged with:

–      Possession of a schedule I substance 

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 14, 2026.

Drew REID Was Arrested

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. 

On December 9, 2025 at 11:53 p.m. Huntsville O.P.P. officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 11, southbound near Aspdin Road.

Police arrived on scene and located a male hiding in the snow a short distance away from the vehicle. The male was determined to be impaired and subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Drew REID, 31 years old of MARMORA Ontario, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Fail to Remain (scene of collision)

The accused was released and is to appear in February 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to a shoplifting call in the Town of Renfrew.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Renfrew OPP responded to a shoplifting call for service in the Town of Renfrew.

As a result of the investigation, Brittany CIPHERY-ABBOUD age 29 of Renfrew was charged with:

–      Theft under $5000- Shoplifting

–      Fail to comply with probation order  

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Aaliyah-Lynnel Smith Was Arrested

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual from Burlington is facing multiple charges after a single vehicle collision on Highway 403.

On December 14, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that had occurred on Highway 403, in Norwich Township. It was reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the center median.

Officers attended and spoke with the lone occupant of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision. Through investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and seized suspected cocaine.

Additional offence-related property that was seized includes a weigh scale and packaging.

Aaliyah-Lynnel Smith, 22-years-old, of Burlington, has been charged with:

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 20, 2025.

Rebecca MCMINN – Drunk Driving

(MCDOUGALL, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On December 13, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m. the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 124 in McDougall Township. Officers attended and initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Rebecca MCMINN, 26 years-of-age of Bradford-West Gwillimbury was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on January 29, 2026. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

10 Year Old Deceasd Following Collision

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – A 10-year-old child, injured in a head-on collision east of Perth, has died in hospital.

The collision was reported on Highway 7, between Drummond School Road and Drummond Concession 7, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, just before 4:30 p.m.

An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in a marked cruiser when it was struck by an oncoming pick-up truck.

There were three people in the pick-up. The injured child was transported to a regional trauma centre by Air Ornge, but was tragically declared deceased the following day. The two other people remain in hospital, being treated for serious injuries.

The OPP officer is recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation by the Lanark County OPP is continuing, with assistance from Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
