62 Year Old From Central Huron Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on January 01, 2026, in the Municipality of Central Huron. 

Just before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 01, 2026, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle that was located stopped on Huron Road in Central Huron. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

David FISHER, 62 years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 09, 2026.

Michael LIPINSKI – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – An individual is compelled to attend court to answer to an impaired charge following an interaction with police.

On January 1, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) interacted with an individual operating an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on George Street, Dunnville.

Michael LIPINSKI, 62-years-old from Dunnville has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on February 10, 2026.

Snowmobile Collision – 22 Year Old Deceased

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – Members of the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single vehicle collision.

On Thursday, January 1, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., members of the Atikokan OPP along with Atikokan Fire and Rescue Service and Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a single vehicle snowmobile collision on the Saturn Avenue extension.

A 22-year-old from Atikokan was transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team is assisting in the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Gamal Khaled Barakat ABDELAAL Arrested For Drunk Driving Following Hit & Run

(LAKESHORE, ON) – A driver has been charged following a collision with a cruiser in Lakeshore.

 At approximately 9:31 p.m. on January 1, 2026, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was involved in a collision with a wrong way driver on Highway 3 near County Road 8 in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

The officer was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gamal Khaled Barakat ABDELAAL, 42-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
  • Failure to stop after accident

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on January 20, 2026.

Evan GUEST Arrested In Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with a criminal driving offence following a traffic stop on Orange Street North in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron. 

Just before 7:30 p.m., on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop to check the sobriety of the vehicle driver. Police spoke to the driver who was suspected of consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver refused to provide a breath sample to police as required by law.

The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton where they further refused to provide breath samples.

Evan GUEST, 28 years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 09, 2026.

Melchor BILOG – Drunk Driving

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. 

On morning of January 2, 2026 at 12:34 a.m., Huntsville O.P.P. officers were on patrol on Main Street when they observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Upon speaking with the driver, officers suspected the driver to have alcohol in his body.

Officers conducted roadside alcohol testing and the driver failed the test and was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Melchor BILOG, 38 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is to appear in February 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7days.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Kuldeep Singh BHANGU & Onkar KALIA Arrested

(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid several criminal charges against two individuals and a stolen vehicle recovered in Caledon.

On Saturday, December 27, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m. officers were called to business near King Street and Airport Road in the Town of Caledon. Prior to police arrival two person fled the area on foot. Attending officers were able to quickly set up a perimeter, located and arrested the individuals nearby. A stolen vehicle was recovered at the scene.

Kuldeep Singh BHANGU, 27 years old from Brampton has been charged with:

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

·      Drive while Prohibited

·      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

·      Possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance x 2

·      Assault with a Weapon

Onkar KALIA, 36 years old from Toronto has been charged with:

·      Possession of Break-in Instruments

·      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

Both accused were held for bail hearings.

Montel OPOKU Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with several offences following a traffic stop in Caledon.

On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at approximately 12:38 a.m. an officer was on patrol on Highway 410 near Valleywood Boulevard, in the Town of Caledon, when he stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic offence. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in violation of a previous release order and a novice driver.

Montel OPOKU, 20 years old from Cambridge has been charged with:

·      Speeding

·      Drive Motor Vehicle No License

·      Class G1 Driver – Unaccompanied by Qualified Driver

Andrew SNYDER – Drunk Driving

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A Maryhill driver is facing impaired charges following two collisions in Wellington North.

On January 1, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a suspected impaired driver from a concerned member of the public, following a single-vehicle collision into a ditch at Line 12 and Sideroad 7 in Wellington North Township. The vehicle was towed from the ditch, however ended up back into the ditch shortly after, requiring another tow.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew SNYDER, a 33-year-old from Maryhill, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on January 16, 2026.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Nicole Sauve – Drunk Driving

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver following a traffic stop in Temiskaming Shores.

On Friday, December 26, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Armstrong Street North.

During the interaction with the driver, officers suspected the driver had consumed alcohol, and an Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand was made. As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested.

The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Nicole Sauve, 26 years of age, of Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Novice driver – blood alcohol concentration (above zero)
  • Speeding over the posted limit

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The driver is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The OPP reminds motorists that impaired driving is a serious criminal offence and continues to put lives at risk on Ontario roadways.

Jayce MATTHEWS – Break & Enter

(ELIZABETHTOWN TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual has been arrested and charged following a break-in just east of Brockville.

Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a former shelter on Oxford Avenue, shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2026. A resident of the area had reported seeing someone enter the building through a window.

Leeds officers, along with members of the Brockville Police Service, surrounded the building and began a search inside, with assistance from the OPP Canine Unit.

An individual was located and arrested. Officers also found a large amount of property that had been moved to a doorway.

Jayce MATTHEWS, age 34 of Brockville, has been charged with:

  • Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Mischief-destroys or damages property

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Friday, January 2, 2026.

(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) – An individual is facing impaired driving related charges after police received a call for service regarding a traffic hazard.

On January 1, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a traffic hazard, on Oxford Road 29 in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim. It was reported that a vehicle was interfering with traffic. Officers patrolled and subsequently located the vehicle.

Spencer Ashford, 29-years-old, of Aylmer, is charged with:

·      Operation While Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

·      Drive motor vehicle – Not equipped with ignition interlock device

·      Novice driver – B.A.C above zero

·      Class G1 licence holder – Drive at unlawful hour

·      Class G1 licence holder – Unaccompanied by qualified driver

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on February 10, 2026.

Tracey JOHNSTONE Was Arrested

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following a series of incidents on December 31st involving property damage and the theft of a motor vehicle in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On Wednesday December 31st at 11:41 a.m., Grey Bruce OPP received a report from a homeowner who discovered that an unknown individual had been inside their garage and had caused damage to a vehicle cover.

While officers were on scene, at approximately 12:29 p.m., police received a second report indicating that a white 2013 cargo van had been stolen from a nearby residence.

Officers immediately began patrolling the area and located the stolen vehicle at Main Street and Scotland Street in Grey Highlands. A person was observed in the driver’s seat. When approached, the individual fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested the individual.

Tracey JOHNSTONE 50-year-old of no fixed address was charged with the following criminal code offences:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Theft Over $5,000

The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing on January 1, 2025, in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.

Jacob HALL – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver charged with impaired as a result of OPP RIDE Program.

On January 1, 2026, at 1:41 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Thorndale Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

A vehicle approached the RIDE program at which time the driver appeared to evade the officers.

The vehicle was stopped a short distance away at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County OPP Detachment.

As a result, Jacob HALL, a 21-year-old of Embro, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Young driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 29, 2026, to speak to the charges.

Morton SMITH – Impaired Driving

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another driver with impaired driving at a RIDE program.

On December 31, 2025, at 1:20 p.m. OPP officers with the Traffic Investigation Management Team (T.I.M.E.) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on South Kahshe Lake Road in Gravenhurst. Officers soon entered into an impaired driving investigation and subsequently arrested and charged 49-year-old Morton SMITH of Severn Bridge, ON with Impaired Operation – Drug, driving while under suspension and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 20, 2026 to answer to his charges.
