Donavan OUWENDYK – Drunk Driving


(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON)
 – A young driver is facing charges following an impaired driving investigation in Simcoe.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 12:03 a.m., officers from the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Norfolk Street North in Simcoe when they stopped a vehicle to assess the driver’s sobriety.

Following a roadside sobriety test, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

As a result, 21-year-old Donavan OUWENDYK of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Young driver – B.A.C. above zero,
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Stephanie CLARKSON – Drunk Driving

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual was charged following an impaired driving investigation in La Salette.

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, at approximately 5:16 a.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a suspected impaired driver on Brantford Road in La Salette.

Officers located the vehicle nearby and, following a roadside sobriety test, arrested the driver without incident.

As a result, 37-year-old Stephanie CLARKSON of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Human Remains Identified as Murder Victim – Robert SKYES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – As part of an ongoing investigation in Simcoe, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has confirmed the identity of human remains discovered in a wooded area near Highway 6 in Haldimand County.

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., investigators located human remains in a wooded area off Highway 6, west of Caledonia and south of Stirling Street.

On Friday, October 17, 2025, a postmortem examination at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OFPS) confirmed the deceased as 49-year-old Robert SYKES of Simcoe and determined the cause of death to be homicide.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and OFPS. Assistance is also being provided by the OPP Forensic Identification Services.

Larry WOODS – Assault

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual was charged following an assault investigation in Waterford.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 11:23 a.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault on Main Street South in Waterford.

The investigation determined that two individuals had an interaction during which on person physically assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.

As a result, 59-year-old Larry WOODS of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

23 Year Old Airlifted To Hospital – Brody MITTON Arrested!

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual is facing charges following an impaired driving investigation on the outskirts of Courtland.

On Friday, October 17, 2025, at approximately 1:01 a.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk County Paramedic Services, responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 19 near the Norfolk-Oxford County border.

The investigation revealed that a sedan travelling on Highway 19 left the roadway and entered a field. The driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries, while the passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a trauma centre by air ambulance.

As a result, the driver, 23-year-old Brody MITTON of Oxford County, was taken into custody and charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Operation causing bodily harm,
  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Highway 19, between Norfolk County Road 30 and Carson Line, was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The OPP reminds the public that there is no safe amount of alcohol or drugs when it comes to driving. Impaired driving puts everyone at risk and can lead to devastating – and sometimes fatal – consequences.

Human Remains Found In Homicide Investigation

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has located human remains in a wooded area off Highway 6 in Haldimand County, in connection with the homicide investigation in Simcoe.

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., investigators located human remains off Highway 6 west of Caledonia and south of Stirling Street believed to be part of the ongoing homicide investigation. A postmortem examination to confirm the identity and cause of death is scheduled at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OFPS) on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Residents and members of the public who were in the area of Highway 6 west of Caledonia and south of Stirling Street on Sunday, October 5, 2025, between 10:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., are asked to contact police if they observed any suspicious activity. Anyone with a dashcam is asked to check their footage and contact police with any information that may assist investigators. Even details that seem minor or unrelated may prove to be important.

Residents in the area can expect to see a police presence as the investigation continues.

2 More Impaired Drivers – Robert WILSON & Paul WILLSON

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Two individuals are facing charges following separate impaired driving investigations.

On Monday, October 13, 2025, at approximately 6:25 p.m., a Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequent investigation on Concession 6 Townsend, just outside of Waterford.

After a roadside sobriety test was administered, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

As a result, 49-year-old Robert WILSON of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Dangerous operation,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence,
  • Fail to surrender insurance card,
  • Drive motor vehicle, no permit,
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Norfolk County OPP responded to a 9-1-1 report of a suspected impaired driver on Queensway West in Simcoe.

Officers later located the vehicle on Tisdale Street, where a roadside sobriety test was conducted. The driver was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

As a result, 54-year-old Paul WILLSON of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Murder: One Arrested, One Victim/Suspect At Large

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with second degree murder in connection with a homicide investigation in Norfolk County.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, shortly after 10:30 a.m., Norfolk County OPP officers responded to a residence on Head Street South in Simcoe, and located a deceased individual.

The deceased has been identified as 71-year-old Barbara MORGAN of Simcoe. A postmortem examination determined that the death was the result of a homicide.

As a result of the investigation, on Friday, October 10, 2025, Justin MORGAN, 45 years old of Simcoe, was arrested and charged with second degree murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police remain concerned for the well-being of Robert SYKES, age 49 of Simcoe, who is currently unaccounted for. He was last observed on Head Street South on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

SYKES is described as:

·      White male

·      Approximately 5’10” (178 cm)

·      120 lbs (54 kg)

·      Long dirty blond hair, typically worn in a ponytail

·      Long beard/goatee

·      May be wearing glasses

Second Suspected Murder Victim Still on the Loose

(NORFOLK COUNTY) – As part of the homicide investigation in Simcoe, police are concerned there may be an additional victim and are asking for the public’s assistance.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, shortly after 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence on Head Street South, where officers located a deceased individual.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Stanley Street in Simcoe.  

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police are concerned for the well-being of a second individual, Robert SYKES, age 49 of Simcoe, who is currently unaccounted for. He was last observed on Head Street South on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

SYKES is described as: 

·      White male 

·      Approximately 5’10” (178 cm) 

·      120 lbs (54 kg) 

·      Long dirty blond hair, typically worn in a ponytail 

·      Long beard/goatee 

·      May be wearing glasses 

Residents in the area can expect to see a continued police presence as officers canvass homes on Head Street South and Stanely Street area to speak with residents.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Missing Person Found Deceased

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Missing person from Thames Centre located deceased in Norfolk County.

On September 23, 2025, at 1:45 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to an address in Dorchester, Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a missing person.

It was determined a 55-year-old of Dorchester, was last seen on September 21, 2025.

The individual was located deceased in Waterford, Norfolk County.

Foul play is not suspected.

The Middlesex County OPP appreciated the assistance of the media and members of the public.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, shortly after 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence on Head Street South, where officers located a deceased individual.

The deceased has been identified as 71-year-old Barbara MORGAN of Simcoe. A postmortem examination will be conducted on Monday, October 6, 2025.

Jamey BARNES Arrested At RIDE – Details Released

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an impaired driving investigation in Port Ryerse.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 1:36 p.m., Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Front Road in Port Ryerse when they stopped a vehicle to assess the driver’s sobriety.

As a result of the interaction, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 26-year-old Jamey BARNES of Norfolk County:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

South Drive Raid: Drugs, Cash, Imitation Firearms Seized — LINDSAY Charged

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual is facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Simcoe led by the Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, at approximately 6:13 a.m., members of the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU executed a search warrant at a residence on South Drive in Simcoe.

During the operation, one individual was taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, ecstasy (MDMA), Canadian currency, drug-related paraphernalia, and two imitation firearms.

A photograph of the seized items is attached for reference.

As a result, 43-year-old Marcus LINDSAY of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs,
  • Possession of a property obtained by crime under $5,000,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose – two counts.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Christopher WASCH Was Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop near Simcoe.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 2:09 a.m., a Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop and investigation on McDowell Road East, just outside of Simcoe.

During the interaction with the driver, cannabis was observed inside the vehicle. This led to a search of the vehicle, where the officer discovered and seized suspected cocaine.

As a result, 28-year-old Christopher WASCH of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available,
  • Possess unmarked cigarettes,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Jimmy FELTON Arrested Again #3Strikes

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual is facing multiple charges following a threats-related incident in Simcoe.

On Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 6:34 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of threats on Robinson Street in Simcoe.

The investigation determined that a group of individuals had been involved in an interaction during which one person made threats of harm while in possession of an edged weapon.

Officers located the suspect nearby and took them into custody without incident.

As a result, 32-year-old Jimmy FELTON of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose,
  • Disobeying order of court,
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order,
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – three counts.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
