Tessa WOOKEY Facing Numerous Charges

(MULMUR, ON) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation related offences following a collision.

On February 9, 2025, just before 7:00 p.m., officers from Dufferin OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving one vehicle that had driven off of the roadway. Upon arrival to the scene, located on County Road 18 near 17 Sideroad in Mulmur Township, officers were quickly led into an impaired driving investigation.

Tessa WOOKEY, a 42-year-old from Mulmur has been charged with:

•      Adult Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Adult Fail to surrender insurance card

•      Adult Driver fail to give identification

•      Adult Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

•     Adult Fail to surrender licence

•      Adult Fail to surrender insurance card

•      Adult Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

Nadia STOECKL – Impaired Driving

(MULMUR, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Etobicoke resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a single motor vehicle collision.

On January 6, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to the area of County Road 19 in the Township of Mulmur for a single motor vehicle collision.  After a brief conversation the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.

Nadia STOECKL, a 34-year-old female, from Etobicoke has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended 90 days, and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Michael BACHELDER – Drunk Driving

(MULMUR, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Grey Highlands resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

On October 25, 2024, just after 9:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to a traffic complain in the area of Highway 89 in the Township of Mulmur. The officers located the vehicle and were quickly led into an impaired driving investigation.

Michael BACHELDER, a 49-year-old male, from Grey Highlands has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

 •     Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended 90 days, and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Fatal Collision

(MULMUR, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Dufferin County EMS, and Fire Services attended a serious three-vehicle collision in the Township of Mulmur.

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., officers attended County Road 19 in Mulmur for the report of a serious three-vehicle vehicle collision. The collision involved a motorcycle, sedan and sport utility vehicle (SUV). The motorcycle was traveling southbound and collided with a northbound sedan and SUV.

Sadly, as a result of the collision the driver of the motorcycle, a 53-year-old, male from Hamilton was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other injuries reported at the time of the collision.

The Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team of the OPP was brought in to investigate. The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage is asked to contact the Dufferin OPP 1-888-310-1122.

Jill MAXWELL – Drunk Driving

(MULMUR, ON) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver with impaired operation related offences as the result of a single motor vehicle collision.

On July 18, 2024, just before 11:45 p.m., officers from the Dufferin OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the Township of Mulmur. Officers arrived on scene and were quickly led into an impaired operation investigation. 

Jill MAXWELL, a 59-year-old female, from the Township of Mulmur has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville to answer to the charges. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.

Dufferin OPP continues to conduct traffic enforcement daily as drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs and who drive at excessive speeds continue to pose a threat to Ontario roads. We are committed to the safety of our community.

Marilyn HAYWARD – Drunk Driving

(MULMUR, ON) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a driver with impaired operation and removed the driver from the road.

On July 3, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers from Dufferin OPP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the area of Mulmur-Melancthon Townline. Officers located the vehicle which had been involved in a single-vehicle collision. Officers were led into an impaired driving investigation.

As a result, Marilyn HAYWARD, 53-year-old from Orangeville, has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Orangeville at a later day in July 2024.

Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.
