Cody BELL Was Arrested

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) operator with impaired driving following a patrol on Lake Nipissing.

On Sunday, January 4, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m., OPP officers stopped an MSV during evening patrols. The operator was found to have consumed alcohol, and was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Cody BELL, 31 years of age, of Mississauga, was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 17, 2026, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS).

The OPP is actively patrolling Lake Nipissing and surrounding waterways throughout the winter. No amount of alcohol or drugs is acceptable when operating a snowmobile or any vehicle on ice. If you suspect an impaired driver, call 911 or contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

6 Arrested In Arson Investigation

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed 6 search warrants in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and Tottenham resulting in the arrest of six individuals. The investigation began in the fall of 2024 after multiple unoccupied homes in new subdivisions in Adjala-Tosorontio were set on fire.

On December 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers executed several search warrants at residences across the region. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation led by members of the Nottawasaga Detachment Major Crime Unit, with assistance from the Caledon Detachment Major Crime Unit, Central Region’s Regional Support Team, the Highway Safety Division’s Toronto and 407 Detachments as well as OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT).

As a result of the investigation, six individuals were arrested:

  • Wisam Fareed Anton DIBO, 32 years old, of Etobicoke
  • Rafid BAQDR, 28 years old, of Toronto
  • Yokhanna BUTRUS, 27 years old, of Etobicoke
  • Allen YOUSIF, 28 years old, of Mississauga
  • Napleon UOAIL, 27 years old, of Etobicoke
  • Liyon Nazar SITRAK, 21 years old, of Etobicoke

The accused individuals have all been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:

  • Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, S. 465(1)(c)
  • Arson, S. 434

The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on January 22nd, 2026.

Christopher RICH Was Arrested

(HENVEY INLET, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On December 13, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m. the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Pickerel River Road in Henvey Inlet First Nation. Officers attended and initiated an impaired driving investigation and discovered the vehicle involved was stolen from Halton Region.

Christopher RICH, 37 years-of-age of Mississauga was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Operation while prohibited – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Driving while under suspension – four counts
  • Possession of an identity document
  • Having care and control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on January 5, 2026. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Pervert Alert: Vineeth VIMAL – Luring Children For Sex

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) -Police have arrested and charged a Mississauga resident following a child sexual exploitation investigation.

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU) executed a search warrant at a residence in Mississauga, with assistance from the OPP Mississauga Detachment, members of the OPP Digital Forensics Unit and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Several electronic devices were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Vineeth VIMAL, 40 years old of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Luring a person under 16 years of age, section 172.1(1)(b) – two counts

·      Making sexually explicit material available to a person under 16 years of age, section 171.1 – two counts

The accused was released from custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

The OPP will continue to identify and pursue individuals who use technology to exploit children. OPP Raid Nets 6 Firearms (1 Full Auto), $30K Cash – Gurpreet GILL Charged

In May 2025, members assigned to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU) initiated an intelligence-led investigation into the alleged trafficking of firearms and prohibited devices in Ontario, with support from Peel Regional Police and London Police Service.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, an individual was arrested in Mississauga by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit. A search warrant was executed by PWEU at a residence in Mississauga and on one vehicle.

As a result, the following items were seized:

  • Six firearms, including one equipped with a selector switch making it fully automatic
  • Semi-automatic rifle
  • More than $30,000 in Canadian currency
  • Cell phones

Gurpreet GILL, age 28 of Mississauga, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Trafficking firearms, weapon, device or ammunition, s. 99 CC – six counts
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, s. 117.01(1) CC – seven counts
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition, s. 92(2) CC – three counts
  • Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition, s. 95(1) – four counts
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, s. 92(1) – five counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, s. 345(1)(a) – two counts

The accused was remanded into custody and subsequently released. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Dimitar GAGOV Was Arrested – Details Released

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following a RIDE program.

On August 30, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Caledon OPP conducted a traffic stop upon a vehicle who travelled through a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in the area of Mayfield Road and Dixie Road, in the Town of Caledon. Officers investigated and formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Dimitar GAGOV, 59, of Mississauga, was charged with:

  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 16, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.

RIDE programs are conducted 24/7 throughout the year, not just during the holiday season. Crypto Fraud – Jun Yi WU

(ORILLIA, ON) – A Mississauga resident is facing criminal charges following a cybercrime investigation.

In May 2023, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Cybercrime Investigations Team (CIT) launched an investigation into fraudulent activity used to access cryptocurrency accounts.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, OPP CIT members executed a search warrant at a residence in Mississauga, where investigators seized multiple electronic devices.

As a result of the investigation, Jun Yi WU, 24 years of age of Mississauga, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Identity theft, section 402.2(1)

·      Fraud, section 380(1)

·      Use of a forged document, section 368(1)

·      Identity fraud, section 403(1)

The accused has been released from custody is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Cocaine Bust – LAURENTI

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual following a drug-related investigation in Mississauga.

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, officers of the Mississauga OPP conducted a traffic stop on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) at Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga. As a result of the investigation, officers seized approximately four kilograms of suspected cocaine from the vehicle.

The driver, Rocco LAURENTI, a 27-year-old of Niagara Region has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Troy LEDREW – Attempt Murder, Etc.

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – Police have laid charges in an incident where an individual shot at numerous vehicles on Highway 401 in Mississauga.

The incident began on November 26, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., when reports began coming into the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The male was reported to have stolen a vehicle from a passing motorist before fleeing the area. The OPP coordinated with Toronto Police Service (TPS) and Peel Regional Police to effectively manage the multiple scenes and numerous witnesses and victims involved. The accused was soon identified, and his photo and description were shared with media and the public. Following the two-day investigation, the accused was arrested by TPS members in the evening of November 27, 2024.

On December 9, 2024, the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) members have charged 29-year-old Troy LEDREW, of no fixed address, with the following offences as per the Criminal Code:

  • Attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm, as per section 239(1)(a) – four counts
  • Robbery using a firearm (restricted or prohibited), as per section 344(1)(a) – six counts
  • Possess Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order, as per section 117.01(1) – three counts
  • Discharge a restricted or prohibited firearm with intent, as per section 244(1)(2)
  • Reckless discharge of a firearm, as per section 244.2(1)(b)
  • Point Firearm, as per section 87
  • Possession of a loaded firearm, as per section 95(1)
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, as per section 320.13(1)

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 10, 2024.

Justin HACK Was Arrested

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – The OPP have arrested and charged a suspect in an investigation which began as a threat but quickly escalated to the theft of two vehicles while the suspect attempted to evade police.

On October 06, 2024, approximately 5:20 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Mississauga Detachment, received a call from a ride sharing service driver who reported that a passenger had uttered a threat towards another person. Officers located the vehicle on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), east of Dixie Road, Mississauga and conducted a traffic stop. The driver exited the vehicle to speak with police and the passenger got into the driver’s seat and stole the vehicle. Investigators believed that the threat that had been made was serious in nature and a Toronto hospital was placed into lockdown for a short period of time.

Approximately 6:00 p.m., Officers were notified that the vehicle had been involved in a collision on Cawthra Road, south of the QEW, and that the suspect had stolen another vehicle from the scene. During that interaction, the owner of the vehicle sustained serious injuries. The vehicle was located minutes later by members of the Toronto Police Service and the suspect was arrested following a struggle, in which the suspect attempted to disarm the police officer.

As a result of the investigation, Justin HACK, a 22-year-old from Denfield, Ontario has been charged with:

  • Uttering threats – cause death
  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Resist peace officer – two counts
  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • Robbery with violence
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Disarming a peace officer

The accused was held for a bail hearing and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on October 7, 2024.

Repeat Offender Shaheryar Kalim GILL Arrested Following Deadly Hit & Run

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – On April 22, 2023 a fail to remain collision occurred on Highway 401 westbound at Mavis Road in the City of Mississauga. As a result of the collision a 29-year-old male from Mississauga was pronounced deceased. The driver of the suspect vehicle fled on foot.

The OPP subsequently issued a warrant for the arrest of Shaheryar Kalim GILL, 34 years old from Brampton. He was arrested on August 14, 2024.

GILL is charged with the following offences:

–         Dangerous Operation – causing death

–         Fail to stop at accident resulting in death

–         Fail to comply with release order x 4

–         Fail to comply with undertaking

He appeared in the Brampton courthouse on August 15 and was remanded into custody.

The family of the deceased has been informed of the arrest and continues to receive support from victim specialists.
