Hwy 89 Fatal Hit & Run

(INNISFIL, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking a potential witness and has released the photo of the witness vehicle in relation to a fatal fail-to-remain collision on Highway 89 in the Town of Innisfil.

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a deceased female located on the shoulder of Highway 89 near 5th Side Road. The deceased was identified as a 35-year-old from Richmond Hill.

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was walking along Highway 89 when she was struck by a blue passenger vehicle travelling eastbound shortly after 2:00 a.m. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
