Caleb GODFREY Was Arrested – Details Released

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has taken another impaired driver off Muskoka roads.

On August 20, 2025, at 9:30 p.m. a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting proactive patrols on Muskoka Road 169 near Shady Lane in Gravenhurst and noticed a vehicle travelling in an unsafe manner. The officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 27-year-old Caleb GODFREY of Oshawa, ON with Impaired Operation- Drug, Failure/Refusal to Comply with Demand, Possession of Schedule I Substance (opioid) X 6.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 14, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Aedan HASKETT Was Arrested Again #RepeatOffender

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged four individuals after a collision on Highway 11 in Gravenhurst.

On August 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst near Sedore Road, fortunately the vehicle missed a rock cut before colliding in the ditch and none of the occupants suffered any significant injuries.

Officers attended and as a result of their investigation into the collision, determined that the involved vehicle had been reported stolen on August 10, 2025 from New Brunswick.

As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 18-year-old Aedan HASKETT of Moncton, NB with the following:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation while Prohibited
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order X 3

He will appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 15, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Furthermore, three young people, one 14-year-old and two 15-year-olds, all from Moncton, NB, have each been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000. Their identifies are protected pursuant to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They will each appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 15, 2025 to answer to their charge.

Ryan STEEL Arrested Following Hit & Runs

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver after multiple collisions were reported on Southwood Road in Gravenhurst.

On August 13, 2025, at 10:20 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of several motor vehicle collisions on Southwood Road in Gravenhurst. After striking several vehicles, the suspect vehicle did not stop and continued driving, fortunately there were no reported injuries.

Officers located the vehicle on Southwood Road near Muskoka Road 169 and subsequently arrested and charged 43-year-old Ryan STEELE of Gravenhurst with Operation while Impaired by Drug, Dangerous Operation and Fail to Remain. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 30, 2025 to answer to his charges.

2 Dead Following Collision

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Muskoka Road 169 in Gravenhurst on August 5, 2025.

On August 5, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS and Gravenhurst Fire Department, responded to 9-1-1 calls from members of the public about a two vehicle collision that occurred on Muskoka Road 169 near Narrows Road in Gravenhurst. Officers attended and due to the position of the vehicles and nature of the injuries, closed Muskoka Road 169 to traffic in that area.

The driver of one of the involved vehicles, a 50-year-old Gravenhurst man, was transported to hospital, however life-saving efforts were unsuccessful and he succumbed to his injuries. The second vehicle had two occupants; the driver was taken to hospital, where he was further transported by air to a Toronto hospital with life-altering injuries. The second occupant, a 61-year-old Muskoka Lakes Township man, was pronounced deceased at the collision scene.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Fraser KENNEY – Drunk Driving

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver after receiving a concern from a member of the public.

On July 28, 2025, at 8:35 p.m., Bracebridge OPP responded to a concern from a member of the public about a possible impaired driver in the area of Steamship Bay Road in Gravenhurst. An officer located the vehicle a short distance away, conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 34-year-old Fraser KENNEY of London, ON with Operation while impaired- Over 80. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 26, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Christopher LAMORIE – Assault With Weapon

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver after investigating a collision involving a bicycle.

On July 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS, responded to reports from members of the public about a collision involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle that occurred on Pinedale Road in Gravenhurst. Callers reported that a vehicle approached the cyclist from the rear and made contact with a tire, causing the rider to be ejected. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Police have arrested and charged 45-year-old Christopher LAMORIE, of Gravenhurst, with Assault with a Weapon, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Stop after Accident. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 26, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Evan BEAUSOLEIL Was Arrested

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged the operator of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) after a collision on July 26.

On July 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., Bracebridge OPP, along with Muskoka EMS and the Gravenhurst Fire Department, responded to reports of an ATV collision near Highway 11 South in Gravenhurst. Witnesses shared that the ATV had rolled down a ditch and pinned the operator underneath. Bystanders assisted by lifting the ATV off of the operator and he was transported to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Officers conducted an investigation into the collision and arrested and charged 27-year-old Evan BEAUSOLEIL with Impaired Operation and Over 80. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 2, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Connor MCQUAIN Was Arrested Again #RepeatOffender #3Strikes

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person in relation to a break and enter investigation in Gravenhurst.

On July 27, 2025 at 10:40 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to reports of aE break and enter that occurred at a business located at the corner of Muskoka Road South and James Street in Gravenhurst. The suspect smashed the door to the business, however was unsuccessful in gaining entry.

Police gathered evidence and spoke with witnesses and during the morning hours of July 28, 2025, officers arrested and charged 34-year-old Connor MCQUAIN, of Gravenhurst with Break and Enter, Mischief and Fail to Comply with Probation X 3.

He was held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge today to answer to his charges.

Christopher LAMORIE – Theft

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one local person with theft in Gravenhurst.

On Sunday July 13, 2025, just before 1:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report of a theft from a retail location on Talisman Drive in Gravenhurst after a man entered the store and made off with a fat-tire bike along with other items.

Police located the suspect and subsequently arrested and charged 45-year-old Christopher LAMORIE of Gravenhurst with Theft Under $5000. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 25, 2025 to answer to his charge.

Aggravated Assault – Matthew HUGHES Arrested

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Muskoka Crime Unit are investigating a serious incident that occurred overnight on May 27, 2025 in Gravenhurst.

On May 27, 2025 just before midnight, Bracebridge OPP officers, along with Muskoka EMS, responded to reports that two people were seriously assaulted in a wooded area west of Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst. Officers attended and one victim was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and requires ongoing treatment.

The Muskoka Crime Unit is continuing the investigation and thus far have charged 33-year-old Matthew HUGHES of Armour Township with multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault along with multiple firearms and drug trafficking related offences. The accused is in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 8, 2025 to answer to his charges.

The investigation is complex, and police are asking for the public’s assistance with information. Jeffrey MUSTOE Was Arrested

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver during morning commuting hours.

On May 27, 2025 at 8:15 a.m. a member of the Central Region SAVE (Snowmobile, ATV, Vessel Enforcement) team was conducting general patrol on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst, monitoring the morning traffic when he observed a vehicle commit an offence in relation to a stopped school bus. The officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 49-year-old Jeffrey MUSTOE of Barrie, ON with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired- Over 80
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Fail to Stop for School Bus
  • Having Liquor in Open Container in Unauthorized Place

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 24, 2025 to answer to his charges.

HORTON Arrested For Drunk Driving

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver during afternoon patrols in Gravenhurst.

On May 2, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting general patrol in the town on Gravenhurst and observed a vehicle on Phillip Street commit a traffic infraction. The officer followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop nearby and subsequently arrested and charged 62-year-old David HORTON of Oakville, ON with Operation While Impaired – Over 80 and Careless Driving. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 27, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Taiwo ADEDEJI Was Arrested

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver after receiving complaints from other motorists.

On April 12, 2025 at 5:37 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers received several traffic complaints about the concerning behaviour of a vehicle travelling south on Bethune Drive in Gravenhurst. Officers quickly located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the driver failed to follow the officers’ instructions and minor damage was caused to one police cruiser. The vehicle was brought to a safe stop and police have arrested and charged 29-year-old Taiwo ADEDEJI of Gravenhurst, ON with Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1) and Flight from Peace Officer CC 320.17, along with several Highway Traffic Act offenses. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 20, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Connor MCQUAIN – Break & Enter, Theft

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person in relation to an ongoing investigation into break and enters in Gravenhurst.

Bracebridge OPP with the assistance of the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), have been conducting an ongoing investigation into several break and enters that have occurred in the town of Gravenhurst between March 31 and April 5, 2025. The investigation involves break, enter and thefts to five separate businesses during very early morning hours, one business had been broken into three times.

On April 5, 2025 at 1:11 a.m. a member of the public reported that they observed damage to another door at a business located at the corner of Muskoka Road South and James Street in Gravenhurst, making it the third time that that business had been broken into recently. Officers attended and with the assistance of the community, soon arrested and charged one person.

Police have charged 33-year-old Connor MCQUAIN of Gravenhurst with the following:

  • Break & Enter CC 348(1)(a) X 2
  • Theft Under $5000 CC 334(b)
  • Possession of Break In Instruments CC 351(1) X 2

He will be held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on April 7, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Sinkhole Closes Hwy 11 – One Sent To Hospital

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) currently have Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst closed to allow for highway repairs after a large sinkhole developed.

Just before 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2025, Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to reports of a large sinkhole on Highway 11 North near Sparrow Lake Route D in Gravenhurst, a number of vehicles had collided with it and sustained damage. One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Highway 11 North is closed at Coopers Falls Road and police are asking motorists to avoid the area in order to allow crews to safely make the necessary repairs. The closure is expected to continue until early on Friday morning.
