Maximus GILL – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH FRONTENAC TWP., ON) – A RIDE program in South Frontenac Township has resulted in impaired driving charges.

Officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE on Saturday, September 27, 2025, shortly before 2:00 a.m., at the intersection of Latimer and Davidson Road.

Officers stopped one car, and an approved alcohol screening device was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Maximus GILL, age 21 of Inverary, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving with liquor readily available
  • Young driver – blood alcohol content above zero

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on October 28, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

James DILLABOUGH Was Arrested

(SHARBOT LAKE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Street Crime Unit has tracked down recently stolen property in Central Frontenac Township.

In late August an individual reported that over $3000 worth of items, including a high-end generator, power tools and a compound bow had been stolen from a location in Central Frontenac Township.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and Frontenac OPP officers, executed a search warrant at a residence on Wagner Road in Sharbot Lake. They located only one of the stolen items, a folding work bench at the scene.

James DILLABOUGH, age 28 of Central Frontenac Township has been charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime under $5000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sharbot Lake on November 25, 2025.

The investigation is continuing, and efforts continue to locate the remaining items and to find another person who may have been involved in the theft.

Fatal Motorcycle Collision – Hwy 7

(FRONTENAC, ON) – The driver of a motorcycle has died from their injuries following a collision on Highway 7 between Kaladar and Sharbot Lake.

On Friday, July 11, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., members of the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Highway 7 near Pleasant Hill Lane. No other vehicles were involved.

The 71-year-old male from the Ottawa area was transported to hospital but died from his injuries.

Collision Reconstructionists with the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team (TIME) were at the scene for the investigation.

Highway 7 was closed for several hours between Arden Road and Mountain Grove Road for the collision investigation but has since reopened.

20 Year Old Deceased Following ATV Collision

(CENTRAL FRONTENAC TWP., ON) – The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a collision which left an ATV rider with fatal injuries.

On Friday, July 4, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m., officers and Frontenac Paramedics responded to the scene on McLean Road. Two ATVs had collided, with one driver suffering very serious injuries. Witnesses and others performed first aid until first responders arrived.

The 20-year-old male from Parham was rushed to a local trauma centre. The male was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

The investigation into the collision is continuing.

As part of the investigation an approved alcohol screening device was utilized at the collision scene on the non-injured rider. That 20-year-old male was issued a three-day licence suspension for registering within the warning range.

29 Year Old From Kitchener Dead Following Collision

(CENTRAL FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious collision on Highway 7 in Central Frontenac Township that has left one person deceased.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Frontenac Detachment of the OPP were called to a vehicle collision on Highway 7, between McQuaid Road and Silver Lake Provincial Park. The collision involved a car and a coach bus with over 30 passengers. As a result of the incident, the driver of the car, a 29-year-old from Kitchener, is deceased. The driver of the bus was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries; no other injuries were reported.

Frontenac/Lanark County Paramedic Services, Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue, Ministry of Transportation, and OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist assisted Frontenac OPP in response to the incident.
