Cody Horan Was Arrested Again

(ESSA, ON)- The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual from Angus on multiple arrest warrants and failure to comply with release order charges.  

On July 3, 2024, members of the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the assistance of the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) team executed a warrant to enter a dwelling and arrested an individual in the area of Brentwood Rd. Cody Horan a 32-year-old male from Angus was charged with the following:

  • Failure to Comply with release order x7
  • Unauthorized Possession of weapon x5
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid

Also, during the investigation officers executed a search warrant on the dwelling and seized the following:

–      Brass knuckles, Taser, Machete, nun chucks, body armour and a variety of ammunition including .12 and .20 .308, 30-06gauge shotgun rounds, .40 calibre, .22 calibre and unknown long gun ammunition.

The male was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.

DONNELLY Facing Numerous Firearms Charges

(ESSA Township, ON)- The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged an adult male with several weapons related charges.

On March 22nd, 2024, officers from the Nottawasaga detachment entered into an investigation of uttering threats in the area of Angus. As a result, a male party was arrested, and a loaded firearm and ammunition was seized. 

Members of the Nottawasaga OPP have laid 10 charges against Shawn DONNELLY, 50 years old, of Essa Township, related to weapon offences. The male was held for Bail and remanded into custody. The charges are as followed:

–      Careless use of a firearm (carry/handle)

–      Careless Storage of a firearm

–      Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

–      Carry concealed weapon

–      Unauthorized possession of a firearm

–      Knowledge of possession of firearm

–      Possession of loaded firearm

–      Tampering with serial number of a firearm

–      Resist Peace Officer
