Justin HENEY – Drunk Driving

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Tay Valley Township resident with impaired driving.

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, Lanark County OPP received a report from a citizen regarding a possible impaired driver in the Town of Perth. A short time later officers conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed just before 2:30 a.m. on County Road 43 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Justin HENEY, 39-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, February 23, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Home Invasion – Suspects At Large

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TOWNSHIP, ON) – TheLanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a home invasion robbery near Smiths Falls.

On Monday, January 12, 2026, around 1:00 a.m., officers with the Lanark County OPP responded to the incident on Glenview Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

A 19-year-old individual, staying in a camping trailer on residential property, reported that three masked males had entered the trailer, assaulted the resident and stole several items before fleeing to a vehicle which had been parked nearby.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was examined by Lanark County Paramedics as a precaution.

It’s believed this was not a random incident and that there is no risk to public safety.

The investigation is continuing with assistance from the Lanark OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services.

10 Year Old Deceasd Following Collision

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – A 10-year-old child, injured in a head-on collision east of Perth, has died in hospital.

The collision was reported on Highway 7, between Drummond School Road and Drummond Concession 7, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, just before 4:30 p.m.

An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in a marked cruiser when it was struck by an oncoming pick-up truck.

There were three people in the pick-up. The injured child was transported to a regional trauma centre by Air Ornge, but was tragically declared deceased the following day. The two other people remain in hospital, being treated for serious injuries.

The OPP officer is recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation by the Lanark County OPP is continuing, with assistance from Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.

OPP Cruiser Involved In Head-On Collision

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – A head-on collision east of Perth has left several people with serious injuries, including a police officer.

The collision was reported on Highway 7, between Drummond School Road and Drummond Concession 7, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, just before 4:30 p.m.

An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in a marked cruiser when it was struck by an oncoming pick-up truck. One occupant of the truck, a child, suffered life-threatening injuries and was being transported to a regional trauma centre by Air Ornge. Two other people in the vehicle were transported to hospital by Lanark County Paramedics with serious injuries.

The OPP officer was also transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation by the Lanark County OPP is continuing, with assistance from Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team. Highway 7 will remain closed in the area for a prolonged period to allow for the on-scene investigation.

Hwy 7 Pileup Sends Three to Hospital With Life-Threatening Injuries

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY, ON) – A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 7 in Innisville, east of Perth, has sent several people to hospital.

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to collision involving five vehicles.

A total of six people were injured. Three people were transported to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. One person’s condition remains possibly life-threatening. The other individuals were treated in hospital and later released or will be released today. The others had varying degrees of injuries. The victims ranged in age from 17 to 78.

Highway 7 remained closed for several hours.

The investigation continues, with assistance from OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators.

Brady NEWBOLD – Drunk Driving

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Stittsville resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic investigation after observing a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, just before 12:30 a.m. on County Road 43 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was involved in a fail to remain collision in the Ottawa area prior to the stop.

As a result of the investigation, Brady NEWBOLD, 29-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Fail to report an accident

·        Fail to remain

·        Drive without proper rear light

·        Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, December 15, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Ridge MICHAEL Facing Numerous Charges After Field Arrest

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY, ON) – A Perth resident faces numerous charges after a vehicle fled from police and evaded officers.

On Friday, October 31, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., an officer with the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol on Port Elmsley Road when he observed a suspicious vehicle. The officer attempted to stop the pick-up vehicle, but it fled at high speed, being driven erratically.

Due to public safety concerns, the officer did not pursue the car but used the police radio to alert other officers in the area.

The pick-up was spotted several times before a spike belt could be utilized to safely stop the vehicle. The truck was found abandoned a short time later.

The OPP Canine Unit then located the individual hiding in a field and made an arrest.

Ridge MICHAEL, age 35 of Perth has been charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle
  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Driving while under suspension – two counts
  • Driving with liquor readily available
  • Driving a vehicle failing to display two licence plates
  • Using a plate not authorized for a vehicle
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking – two counts

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, November 3, 2025.

AI Used To Arrest Cory ENNIS – Details Released!

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Perth resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted stopped a possible suspended driver after receiving an Automatic Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) alert, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, just after 3:45 p.m. on Highway 7 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

The driver was arrested the driver and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Cory ENNIS, 38-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operate an unsafe vehicle

·        Drive motor vehicle- no licence

·        Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, November 24, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

18 Year Old Facing Assault Charge

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a call to a party in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to a residence on Saturday, September 27, 2025, just after 11:30 p.m., after receiving a complaint that a large group of people had been pepper sprayed. It was also discovered that the individual engaged in a physical altercation prior to fleeing the area. The individual was later stopped by Ottawa Police.

As a result of the investigation, Jasper ROHANI 18 years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with:

·      Administer a noxious thing

·      Assault with a weapon

·      Unauthorized possession of a weapon

Train Collision – Alcohol A Factor

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with numerous offences following a collision with a train in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

Lanark County OPP responded to a serious collision on train tracks at Station Road on Saturday, September 27, 2025, just after 3:45 a.m. Prior to the collision, OPP had received a traffic complaint involving the vehicle. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Sierra ZERON-ROBB, 39-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with:

·      Failure or refusal to comply with breath demand

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Assault a peace officer – three counts

·      Common Nuisance – endanger life

·      Fail to give way to railway equipment at a road crossing

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Perth Pursuit Ends in Bush Arrest – Murray Faces 11 Charges

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Drummond-North Elmsley Township resident after a vehicle fled an attempted traffic stop.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, just after 9:15 p.m. officers on patrol on Gore Street in the Town of Perth observed a vehicle with numerous equipment violations. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled at a high rate of speed.

A short time later the same vehicle was observed turning onto Wildlife Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township where it was abandoned in a driveway and the driver fled into the bush. Lanark County OPP with the assistance of OPP Canine unit and OPP Emergency Response Team members located an individual he was taken into custody.

Trever MURRAY, 23-years-old, has been charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

·      Dangerous operation

·      Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·      Fail to comply with probation order – three counts

·      Operation while prohibited – two counts

·      Flight from peace officer

·      Unauthorized possession of a weapon

·      Drive with improper headlight

·      Drive while under suspension

·      Use plate not authorized for vehicle

·      Drive motor vehicle, fail to display two plates

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and was remanded to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Wednesday, October 1, 2025

Eileen Campbell – Fraud

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – A resident of  Mississippi Mills Township has been charged with fraud.

The Lanark County OPP and Lanark County OPP Crime unit began an investigation in November of 2024 after a local business was alerted to several suspicious transactions over a 15-month period beginning in August of 2022.

On September 18, 2025, as a result of the investigation, Eileen Campbell, age 45, of Mississippi Mills Township, was charged with fraud over $5000.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 20, 2025.

Joshua DEVLIN Arrested Again

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – An individual, charged last month with making threats toward police officers, is facing additional charges.

The investigation began in late August when it was reported to the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) that threats had been made toward OPP members.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, an individual was arrested by Lanark County OPP and members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit at a residence on Munlaren Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at the same residence and seized a firearm, ammunition and suspected cocaine.

Joshua DEVLIN, age 40 of Drummond-North Elmsley, has now been charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order – four counts
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

This is in addition to the charges laid earlier:

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Failing to comply with a probation order

The accused remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled to continue before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Joshua DEVLIN Arrested For “Threatening” Police

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – An individual has been arrested for making threats toward police officers.

The investigation began on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, when it was reported to the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) that threats had been made toward OPP members.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, as a result of the investigation, Lanark County OPP officers, assisted by members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed an arrest warrant at a residence on Munlaren Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township. One person was arrested.

Joshua DEVLIN, age 40, has been charged with:

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Failing to comply with a probation order

The accused was remanded in custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Victoria MUZIK Was Arrested

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident following a traffic complaint in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

Lanark County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Ebbs Bay Road on Saturday, August 23, 2025, just after 9:30 p.m. The vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested and transported to Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Victoria MUZIK, 40-years-old, has been charged with failure or refusal to comply with breath demand.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, September 22, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
