Trisha THOMPSON – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Friday, February 20, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle being driven poorly in Beckwith Township. Officers located the vehicle on Line 7 just before 9:00 p.m.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Carleton Place OPP detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Trisha THOMPSON, 38-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Careless driving

·        Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 30, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Daniel GOGOLIN – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Lanark County OPP received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 15 in Beckwith Township. Officers attended and located the vehicle just after 6:30 p.m. After speaking with the driver, he was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel GOGOLIN, 35-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Dangerous operation

·        Drive vehicle with open container of alcohol

·        Obstructed licence plate

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Isabelle LEFEBVRE Was Arrested

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Gloucester resident with impaired driving.

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers, while on patrol on Cavanaugh Road in Beckwith Township, located a vehicle in the ditch just before 9:15 p.m. After

speaking with the female, the driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Isabelle LEFEBVRE, 33-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Obstruct a peace officer

·        Failure or refusal to comply with breath demand

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, February 23, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Daniel CREIGHTON – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a business in Carleton Place. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle enter a driveway of a residence just before 7:45 p.m. in Beckwith Township.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel CREIGHTON, 73-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Obstruct a peace officer

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Fatal Snowmobile Collision

(BECKWITH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A snowmobile collision, east of Franktown, has left one person deceased.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, shortly before 4:30 a.m., members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene adjacent to Brunton Sideroad.

A family member had located a male on private property and had begun life-saving measures until Lanark County Paramedics and police arrived.

The initial investigation has found that the male had been operating a snowmobile when it collided with a parked trailer. The male suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as a 50-year-old man from the area.

The investigation by Lanark County OPP, with the assistance of a Technical Collision Investigation officer from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.

Hilary CLOSE Was Arrested

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers investigated a single vehicle collision on Derry Side Road, in Beckwith Township on Friday, September 5, 2025, just after 1:15 a.m. after a crash notification was received.

The officers located the vehicle in a ditch, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Hilary CLOSE, 57-years-old, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 20, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days

Brennan BOYD Facing Numerous Charges

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Stittsville resident with numerous offences following a serious collision in Beckwith Township.

Lanark County OPP responded to a serious collision on Highway 15 at Beckwith 9th line in Beckwith Township on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, just after 4:00 p.m. Just prior to the collision, OPP and Ottawa Police had received numerous traffic complaints involving one of the vehicles. Both drivers and two children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. During the investigation, one driver was arrested and transported to hospital for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Brennan BOYD, 40-years-old, has been charged with:

·      Failure or refusal to comply with breath demand

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Dangerous operation

·      Criminal negligence causing bodily harm

·      Red light – fail to stop

·      Driving while under suspension

·      Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

·      Driving motor vehicle with liquor in open baggage

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, September 22, 2025.

 The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Matthew MOORE – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Appleton Side Road, in Beckwith Township on Friday, June 7, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m. after a complaint of a vehicle being driven erratically.

The officers located the vehicle, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Matthew MOORE, 36-years-old, of Carleton Place, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 30, 2025.

2 Arrested Following Hit & Run

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two Smiths Falls residents after single vehicle collision.

Officers respond to a collision on Maitland Street in Beckwith Township on Sunday, May 18, 2025, just before 5:00 a.m. An off-duty officer stopped to assist the occupants, but the two individuals fled on foot into the woods. The individuals later turned themselves into police.

 As a result of the investigation, Crystal FLEGG, age 22, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Obstruct justice

·        Common nuisance

·        Fail to remain

·        Fail to report accident

·        Careless driving

John MASON, age 20, has been charged with:

·        Obstruct justice

·        Common nuisance

·        Fail to remain

The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 23, 2025.

Kevin Richmond – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Drummond-North Elmsley resident with impaired driving.

Officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Tenth line Beckwith, Beckwith Township on Friday, May 3, 2025, just after 3:30 a.m.

The officer, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Carleton Place Detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Kevin Richmond, age 47, has been charged with

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 2, 2025.

Attempted Abduction

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid a charge following a child abduction investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Monday, April 7 ,2025, when a Beckwith Township resident reporting that his wife might be attempting to leave the country with their six-year-old son.

Lanark County OPP, with assistance from the Lanark County Crime Unit, Peel Regional Police and Canada Border Services Agency were able to locate the woman and child at Pearson International Airport. This 36-year-old woman was arrested and returned to Lanark County, and the child was returned to his father.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 8, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.

William MACINNIS – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident and a McNab/Braeside Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway-7 in Beckwith Township on Friday, December 6, 2024, shortly before 8:00 p.m.

Officers arrested one driver and transported the individual to the Carleton Place Detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, William MACINNIS, age 58, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on January 13, 2025.

Officers also responded to a single vehicle collision on Waba Road in Mississippi Mills Township on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at approximately 6:10 p.m.

A male was arrested and transported to the Renfrew OPP Detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Donald SLATER, age 61, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on January 27, 2025.

Both individual’s driver’s licences have been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicles have been impounded for seven days.

Ryan MCQUILLAN – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving after a collision.

Officers respond to a single-vehicle collision on Sunday, November 3, 2024, shortly before 6:00 p.m., on Scotch Corners Road in Beckwith Township. A car had left the roadway on a curve. The driver and passenger did not report any injuries.

An approved roadside screening device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the Lanark County Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Ryan MCQUILLAN, age 24 of Ottawa, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on December 9, 2024.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
