Can You Identify These Suspect

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking tips from the public to help identify two persons of interest connected to a stolen vehicle investigation.

On Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 12:27 p.m. a Huron OPP officer was patrolling Market Street in Seaforth when they observed a stolen Chevrolet Silverado that was parked in the parking lot of the apartment building complex. 

The vehicle was recovered by police and was later processed for evidence. 

Police are seeking tips from the public to help identify two persons of interest that were observed with the vehicle.

Fake Cop Pulling People Over – Video Record All Interactions With “Police”

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers, including investigators from the Huron County OPP Crime Unit, are actively investigating a traffic stop that was conducted last night by someone impersonating a police officer.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. on April 22, 2021, an individual was driving northbound on London Road (Highway 4) just north of Hensall, when they noticed they were being followed by a black sedan. The driver of the sedan activated his police-style emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop.

The male suspect exited his vehicle and approached the driver and demanded to know their destination. After a brief interaction, the suspect then returned to his vehicle and left. The driver returned home and reported the suspicious encounter to police. 

The male suspect is described as:

  • Approximately early 40’s in age,
  • About 5’5″ in height.
  • Thin build. 
  • Short dark hair with a moustache. 
  • Wearing a police jacket that had “POLICE” emblazoned across the chest. 
  • Carrying a police-style portable radio.

The suspect vehicle is described as an unmarked black sedan equipped with emergency lights on the roof.

Fatal Collision – Name Of Deceased Released

(GREENOCK TWP, ON) – On April 22, 2021 at 8:57 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision along Bruce County Road 15 in Greenock Township. Officers arrived with members of Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find the vehicle struck a tree before coming to rest in the north ditch.

Donald WOODARD, 62-years-old, of Brockton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Members of the OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) team attended the scene to assist the South Bruce OPP with this incident.

Bruce County Road 15 was closed between Bruce County Road 20 and Side road 5, Greenock Township, for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation. The roadway has since re-opened to traffic.

19 Year Old Has Vehicle Impounded For Speeding

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) On April 20, 2021 at 7:26 a.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols, when an officer observed a motor vehicle travelling in excess of the posted limit on Concession 5 D, near Grey Road 18, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Grey Bruce OPP stopped the vehicle after it was found to be travelling at over 135 kilometres per hour (km/h) in a posted 80 km/h speed limit zone.

Grey Bruce OPP have charged Jared GODDARD, 19-years-old of Brockton, with Stunt Driving – 50km/h or more over the posted speed limit, contrary to Section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The accused was issued a provincial summons to attend court, along with a seven-day driver’s licence suspension. The individual’s vehicle was towed and will be impounded for seven days.

Seaforth Break & Enter

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to investigate a recent break, enter and theft that took place in Seaforth.

The police investigation has revealed the thief entered into an apartment building on Main Street in Seaforth sometime between April 15 and April 19, 2021. Once inside the premise the thief stole a passport, various pieces of jewelry and a grey Dell laptop computer.

The thief gained access to the apartment through the fire escape and by prying a door open. 

The value of the stolen goods has not been established.

Teens Arrested For Wroxeter Vandalism

(HOWICK, ON) – A group of teenagers found themselves getting arrested last week on their April School Break after they were caught vandalizing the pavilion at the Wroxeter ball diamond.

Just before 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the ball diamond pavilion located on Marietta Street in Wroxeter after a witness reported some youth were walking on the roof and were damaging the building.

Officers arrived on scene and were able to catch up with the six teenagers that tried to flee the scene. A check on the building revealed damage to the pavilion roof, damage to a window and damage caused by dumped oil and a spent fire extinguisher.  

The six youth ages 13 to 15 will have the opportunity to have a Mischief charge diverted if they successfully complete a Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) program.

Huron OPP credits the community members that promptly called police with solving this case.

2 Collision, 2 Impaired Charges

(Middlesex Centre) – On April 21, 2021 at 7:59 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to Adelaide Street North, near Fifteen Mile Road, Middlesex Centre Township, where a single motor vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The lone occupant suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital by Middlesex EMS.

Corey CARDER, a 25-year-old from London has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol, section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Failure to stop after accident, section 320.16(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand, section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a London court room on June 21, 2021.

(Thames Centre) – On April 21, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Nissouri Road at Evelyn Drive, Thames Centre. There were no injuries.

Jaspreet GILL, a 40-year-old from Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol, section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear in a London court room on June 8, 2021.

11 Year Old Assaulted In Listowel – Jaydn JUDGE Arrested

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – One person is facing a charge in the Municipality of North Perth following an incident earlier this month.

On April 09 2021, just after 7:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance that had occurred in the area of McLaren Avenue North, Listowel. During the investigation, it was learned that one person had been assaulted. The 11-year-old victim was not injured during the assault.

As a result, Jaydn JUDGE, 20, of North Perth, was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

Impaired Driver Nearly Hits Cruiser – Name Released

(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) – On April 17, 2021 at 7:00 a.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple traffic complaints of an erratic vehicle exiting eastbound Highway 402 onto Oil Heritage Road. Officers observed the vehicle travelling southbound toward the town of Wyoming. When officers initiated a traffic stop, the vehicle nearly collided with a responding OPP vehicle.    

Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to an OPP detachment and performed a drug recognition evaluation.

As a result, Abdel-Raouf ELSHOURFA, 40-years-old of London, has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Dangerous Operation pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Pervert Alert: Eric McLACHLAN – Child Pornography

(ORONO, ON) – On April 20, 2021, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Digital Forensics and Durham Regional Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Orono, Ontario following an online child sexual exploitation investigation.  

  As a result of this investigation, 44-year old Eric McLACHLAN was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, accessing pornography, and distributing child pornography. Two devices were seized for further examination.

  The accused was scheduled to appear for appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Oshawa on April 20, 2021.   

  This collaboration, between partner agencies in Ontario’s Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet, is another example of how investigators work to ensure ‘Every Child Matters Everywhere’.  Internet Child Exploitation investigators, from across Ontario, strive to keep children safe and hold offenders accountable.

Assault In Listowel

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – One person is facing three charges in the Municipality of North Perth following a domestic incident.

On April 09, 2021, just after 11:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a domestic incident that was occurring at an address on York Avenue North, Listowel. During the investigation, it was learned that one person had been assaulted. The victim was not injured from the assault.

As a result, a 38-year-old resident of North Perth was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault, Spousal (three counts)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Craig LOBO – Impaired Driving

(BRANT COUNTY, ON – On Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 5:20 p.m., members of the Brant County, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol and subsequently stopped to investigate a vehicle that was located at a County Road 18, Brant County address.

As a result of investigation, police charged Craig LOBO, 52 years-of-age from Hamilton, Ontario with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

29 Year Old From Stratford Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(BLUEWATER, ON) – A Stratford resident is facing Impaired Operation charges after a failed roadside test this past weekend in Kippen.

Just after 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 the driver of a sedan entered into the Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint that was set up at the intersection of London Road (Highway 4) and Kippen Road. A Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spoke with the driver and upon doing so made some observations that the driver had consumed some alcohol. 

A roadside screening test was conducted and the driver registered a Fail. The driver was placed under arrest and was subsequently transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were found to be above the legal limit.

Timothy ZAVITSKI, 29 years of age from Stratford has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for May 17, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Nicholas SKYRING-LEPAGE – Impaired Driving

(WEST PERTH, ON) – Another driver has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic stop in the Municipality of West Perth last week.

On April 11 2021, just after 12:00 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on general patrol observed a vehicle that was driving in a suspicious manner, and conducted a traffic stop to investigate. While speaking with the officer, the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver performed poorly on a Standard Field Sobriety Test and was subsequently placed under arrest for impaired operation. They were transported to the closest police detachment for further examination. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) conducted a series of tests and the driver was deemed to be impaired by a drug.

As a result, Nicholas SKYRING-LEPAGE, 23, of West Perth, has been charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

A 90-day driving suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Ferdinand BRALL – Drunk Driving

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) –  A resident of Central Huron is facing an Over 80 charge following a traffic stop that took last week near Londesborough. 

On Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 6:41 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling on London Road when the officer encountered a pickup truck that was swerving within its lane. A traffic stop was initiated and upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer completed a roadside screening test. The driver complied and registered a fail.

The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment in Clinton for breath tests. Two samples of his breath were provided to the qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were found to be above the legal limit.

Ferdinand BRALL, 70 years of age, from Central Huron has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for May 10, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
