Huron Perth Snow Squall Warning – 50km Winds To Create Hazardous Traveling Conditions

Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
  • Listowel – Milverton – Northern Perth County
  • Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
  • Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County

Snow squalls continuing through this afternoon.

Snow squalls will continue into this afternoon before weakening this evening. Wind gusts up to 50 km/h will result in local blowing snow, particularly over exposed areas.

Hazards:
Additional local snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm by this evening
Quickly accumulating snow of 2 to 3 cm per hour at times
Poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow

Impacts:
Travel is likely to be hazardous through this afternoon.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Snow Squall Warning – Wingham & Blyth – 45cm Snow Possible

Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
  • Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County

Snow squalls today and possibly this evening. A few isolated snow squalls may continue into Saturday north of London and along the Lake Huron shores.

Hazards:
Locally 25 to 45 cm of snow
Quickly accumulating snow of 5+ cm per hour
Blowing snow
Poor visibility in heavy and blowing snow

Timing:
Now through this morning and locally into the evening

Impacts:
Hazardous to dangerous travel

Discussion:
Exeter weather RADAR shows a few snow squalls coming off Lake Huron to all shorelines from just west of Grand Bend and northward with a broader area of moderate snowfall extending southeast of London. These snow squalls should get more intense today, however, they will become more isolated by this afternoon.

Intense snowfall rates may be possible for several hours this morning before the band shifts north of Grand Bend this afternoon. Travel could be dangerous due to low visibilities.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Road closures are possible.

Snow Squall Watch For Huron & Perth – 30cm Snow Possible Christmas & Boxing Day

4:37 PM EST Thursday 24 December 2020
Snow squall watch in effect for:

  • Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
  • Listowel – Milverton – Northern Perth County
  • Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
  • Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County

Snow squalls are expected on Friday and possibly Saturday.

Hazards:
15 to 30 cm of snow
Quickly accumulating snow at times
Reduced visibilities in blowing snow and heavy falling snow

Timing:
Friday morning into Saturday

Impacts:
Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibilities and snow accumulation

Discussion:
Cold northwesterly winds flowing over the warmer waters of Lake Huron will generate snow squalls beginning Friday morning. These snow squalls could potentially last into Saturday. Conditions should improve Saturday evening.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.

Snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.

Doug Ford Sacrifices One Grandparent Per Hour To Avoid Immediate Shutdown & To Save Christmas @Fordnation #NutUpButtercup #Coward

Ontario reported 21 more deaths from Covid-19 yesterday, nearly one per hour. 20 more were put on ventilators and hospitalizations passed 1000.

Doug Ford claims the shutdown is necessary as “lives are on the line”. But don’t worry about it until after Christmas.

Thanks to Doug Ford’s cowardice and refusal to order an immediate shutdown, one person per hour will continue to die of the Vid, likely a senior or grandparent.

Why? Because some restaurants may have some produce that might go bad costing hundreds of dollars. Some may not do curbside pickup or takeout to clear out their inventory. I’m not sure how Doug Ford can speak so clearly when his mouth is so clearly full of bullshit.

It seems that Doug Ford is willing to sacrifice one senior per hour so he can dine out on Christmas.

Critical Shutdown Postponed As Ford Claims Restaurants Have Inventory To Get Rid Of – Dozens Expected To Die Due To Ford’s Cowardice

Doug Ford refused to order an immediate province wide shutdown despite the urgent plea from hospitals, in fact he postponed it until midnight on Boxing Day. When questioned why the shutdown isn’t immediate, Premier Ford claimed that there could be some restaurants that might have some inventory in the green and yellow zones, and they might need until Saturday morning to clear out that inventory.

The lockdown will not happen for 5 more days risking countless thousands of lives. On the bright side, Ford can now claim he saved Christmas.

I hope Doug Ford will not be boasting about saving Christmas in front of those that will suffer the loss of a loved one due to Ford’s cowardice in calling an immediate shutdown.

24 Year Old Attempts To Have Sex With 12 Year Old – Re-arrested 90 Minutes After Release For Violations

A 24-year-old Guelph male has been arrested on luring charges after arranging to meet up with a 12-year-old girl. When the male arrived at the meeting spot Wednesday morning he was instead met by members of the Guelph Police Service.

On December 8, 2020, members of the Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit entered into an investigation after learning an adult male was having sexual conversations with a child. During these conversations an in-person meeting was arranged.

A Guelph male was arrested and charged with luring a person under the age of 16 and agreement to commit a sexual offence against a person under the age of 16. He was subsequently released with conditions including one banning him from possessing any device which can access the internet.

Approximately 90 minutes after his release the male was observed at a commercial establishment purchasing a new cell phone and SIM card and was arrested for breaching his release conditions. He is scheduled to appear in a Guelph court March 23, 2021.

Cybertip.ca is Canada’s largest tip line for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children.  Tips from the public can help protect children from sexual abuse.  Canadians are encouraged to report concerns to Cybertip.ca if someone they know may be victimizing children online.  For more information visit cybertip.ca.

This project was made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.

Mask By-law For North Huron? Have Your Say Now 519-357-4668

Someone told North Huron council they could put unpaid mask fines on property tax bills. Rumor is they are now considering an absolute by-law with a hefty fine for mask non-compliance.

North Huron councilors were opposed to masks, as demonstrated in August when they swarmed a Citizen in council chambers. Reeve bernie bailey had to be yelled at to “BACK OFF OR PUT A MASK ON” as he was inches from the masked Citizen’s face. Reeve bailey jumped back several feet in shock, and rumor is he had to change into dry pants before the police arrived.

Do you think North Huron should have a mask by-law with a hefty $1,000 fine? Have your say now by calling 519-357-4668. If you can’t get through please consider contacting the councilors below, or contact them all just be make sure your voice is heard.
