Marc CHAPUT – Theft & Refuse To Comply

(PETAWAWA, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged a Laurentian Valley Township resident with refusal and theft under following an investigation.         

On November 11, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers received a theft complaint from a business on Renfrew Street in the Town of Petawawa. A short time later police spoke to the individual.     

As a result of this incident 37-year-old Marc CHAPUT was charged with the following CC offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Theft under $5,000.

The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on December 8, 2025.  

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle towed and impounded for seven days.

Cory BAPTISTE Was Arrested

(ALGONQUINS OF PIKWAKANAGAN FIRST NATION, ON) – A Bonnechere Valley Township (BVT) resident is facing Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Criminal Code (CC) charges after several driving complaints were received by the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). 

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police began investigating complaints of an erratic driver in the area of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation. Later that afternoon officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 60 in North Algona-Wilberforce Township. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.   

As a result of this matter 50-year-old Cory BAPTISTE was arrested and charged with the following offences under the HTA and CC:

  • Disobey stop sign – fail to stop – two counts
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

This accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on December 15, 2025. 

They had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

Rene LAPIERRE – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after single-vehicle collision on Dorchester Road.

On November 17, 2025, at 12:08 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Dorchester Road near Donnybrook Drive in the Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a single vehicle collision.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Rene LAPIERRE, a 41-year-old of Corunna, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on December 17, 2025.

There were no injuries reported.

Christopher LARABIE – Drunk Driving

(COCHRANE, ON) – A traffic complaint of a suspected impaired driver in Cochrane resulted in an impaired driving arrest.

On Sunday, November 20, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a suspected impaired driver in a commercial parking lot on Railway Street in Cochrane. Police located a vehicle matching the description travelling south bound on Highway 11 South. Upon speaking with the driver, officer determined that alcohol had been consumed. The individual was arrested and transported to the Cochrane OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher LARABIE, 25 years-of-age of Sudbury, has been charged with:

· Operation while impaired – alcohol

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on December 16, 2025. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The James Bay OPP reminds the public that if you suspect that someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, call 911 immediately. In doing so, you may save a life.

16 Year Old Deceased Following Collision

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) Two people were injured after a serious collision on Quaker Road in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 12:57 p.m., Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Central Elgin Fire and Elgin Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and sedan at the intersection of Quaker Road and Southdale Line.

The passenger of the sedan, a 16-year-old of St. Thomas, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. They have since died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. 

The driver of the sedan was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.

$50,000 Drug Bust – Melissa BOUCHARD

(SMOOTH ROCK FALLS, ON) – A 40-year-old Smooth Rock Falls resident is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a Smooth Rock Falls residence, resulting in the seizure of suspected crystal methamphetamine and cocaine with an estimated street value of $50,000.

On Thursday November 20, 2025, the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed a search warrant at a residence on Fifth Street in Smooth Rock Falls.

During the search, officers seized suspected crystal methamphetamine and cocaine, along with a scale and packaging materials.

As a result of the investigation, Melissa BOUCHARD, 40 years-of-age of Smooth Rock Falls, was arrested and charged with:

· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – crystal methamphetamine

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 21, 2025.

Cocaine Bust – Andrew JACK & Shaquille NATHANIEL-LOVELL

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals following an arrest and search under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

On November 19, 2025, members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested two individuals in Cobourg. A subsequent search warrant was carried out at a residence in Pickering.

Police located and seized a handgun, around 645 grams of cocaine, a quantity of Canadian currency, cell phones and drug paraphernalia.

Shaquille NATHANIEL-LOVELL (28) from Pickering, has been charged with:

–      Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine

–      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

–      Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm

–      Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order

–      Breach of firearms regulations

Andrew JACK (34) from Ajax, has been charged with:

–      Possession for the purpose of trafficking

–      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both accused were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.

Jacob Manley Arrested Following Collision

(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual from Woodstock is facing impaired driving related charges following a two-vehicle collision.

On November 18, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle collision that had occurred on Road 78 at 43rd Line, in the Township of Zorra. Officers attended and spoke with all involved occupants. There were no reported injuries from the collision.

Jacob Manley, 27-years-old, of Woodstock was charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Careless Driving

·      Driving while Under Suspension

·      Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and 7-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 13, 2026.

Giuseppe MALTESE Was Arrested

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – Middlesex County OPP investigating a suspicious person incident in North Middlesex.

On November 20, 2025, at 1:30 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on McGillivray Drive in North Middlesex, for the report of a suspicious person incident.

Investigation revealed an unknown individual(s) was trespassing on a rural property.

The individual was located and placed under arrest.

As a result, Giuseppe MALTESE, a 51-year-old of North York, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Trespassing at Night

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 14, 2026 to speak to the charge.

2 More Impaired Drivers

(CLARENCE – ROCKLAND & THE NATION, ON) – Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two motorists for impaired driving.

On Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 1:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision on Calypso Road. Upon arrival on scene officers observed the vehicle to be partially submerged in water. During the investigation, officers utilized an Approved Screening Device (ASD), and the driver failed the test. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old, Haydon Chadwick, from The Nation, Ontario, was charged with offences under the Criminal Code (CC), the Controlled Cannabis Act (CCA) and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) CC
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol CC
  • Drive a vehicle with cannabis readily available (CCA)
  • Young driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero (HTA)
  • Drive – handheld communication device (HTA)

The accused is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 10, 2025

On Thursday, November 20, at approximately 2:45 p.m., officers in Rockland responded to a report by a City of Clarence-Rockland By-law Officer of a driver sleeping in his car which was parked on the wrong side of the road. After arriving on scene officers arrested the driver for impaired driving and brought him back to detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 45-year-old, Gregory Moorhouse, of Alfred-Plantagenet, Ontario, was charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) CC
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol CC

The accused is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 17, 2025

Both motorists received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicles were impounded for seven days.

One Sent To Hospital – Jose RIVAS MENDEZ Arrested

(ADJALA-TOSORONTIO, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a two vehicle collision in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.

On November 17, 2025, shortly before 1:30 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a two-vehicle rear-end collision on County Road 50 in Adjala-Tosorontio Township. Officers located the vehicles and spoke with the drivers. One passenger required extrication from a vehicle. One driver sustained minor injuries, while the passenger was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. During the interaction, officers formed grounds that one driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, resulting in that driver’s arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Jose RIVAS MENDEZ 35-years-old of New Tecumseth was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation causing bodily harm

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on December 11, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Tawyna Allishaw – Breach Probation

(SOUTH-WEST OXFORD, ON) – An individual from the Tillsonburg is facing a charge and a licence suspension after being stopped by police.

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Plank Line, near Ostrander for Highway Traffic Act offences.

Upon stopping the vehicle, police determined the driver was exhibiting signs of alcohol impairment. Results from an Alcohol Screening Device produced an alert, leading to a warn-range suspension and a $250 fine.

A 3-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) was initiated as per statute.

Tawyna Allishaw, 46-years-old, of Tillsonburg, is charged with:

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on December 16, 2025.

6 More Facing Impaired Charges

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged six individuals with alcohol-related offences in the span of just five days.

On November 9, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Caledon OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle driving aggressively without their headlights on. Shortly after, officers located the vehicle on Highway 50, near Patterson Sideroad, in the Town of Caledon. Officers conducted a traffic stop upon the vehicle and formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Following the investigation, Jacob QUINN, 32, of Georgetown, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On November 10, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Caledon OPP officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on King Street, near Creditview Road, in the Town of Caledon. Shortly after, officers arrived on scene and subsequently formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Stephen AGHIMIEN, 65, of Brampton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On November 12, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Caledon OPP conducted a traffic stop upon a vehicle who travelled through a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in the Town of Caledon. Officers investigated and formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Kylie KIRBY, 33, of Bolton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Caledon OPP officers responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision on Mayfield Road, near Hurontario Street, in the Town of Caledon. Shortly after, officers arrived on scene and subsequently formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Sewa Singh, 38, of Brampton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Have care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Driving while under suspension

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Caledon OPP officers were on general patrol in the area of Mayfield Road and Torbram Road, in the Town of Caledon. During this time, a vehicle was observed stopped in a live lane of traffic. Officers subsequently conducted a traffic stop upon the vehicle and formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Following the investigation, Kevin SOOSAIPILLAI, 30, of Brampton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Caledon OPP officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Old School Road, near Kennedy Road, in the Town of Caledon. Shortly after, officers arrived on scene and subsequently formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Harsh, 27, of Caledon, was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

All accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville to answer to their charges. The vehicles were also impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licences were suspended for a period of 90 days.

Drivers continue to take chances. It’s simply not worth the risk. Motorists are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture. If you suspect that someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, it is important to call 9-1-1 to report it.

Cydick BAPTISTE – Drugs & Firearms #3Strikes

(MARKSTAY-WARREN, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with drugs and firearms offences.

On Sunday November 9, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 17, Markstay-Warren.

A search of the vehicle located a loaded hand gun, ammunition, Canadian currency, and drugs suspected to be Cocaine and fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation the driver, Cydick BAPTISTE, 33 years-of-age, from North York was arrested and charged with,

  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo – two counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts

The accused was held for Bail Court, then released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday December 17, 2025, in Sudbury.

Ashton MUSSLEMAN Facing Numerous Charges

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Elmira resident after a vehicle fled an attempted traffic stop.

On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, just before 11:00 p.m. officers on patrol on Dufferin Street in the Town of Perth observed a vehicle that was involved in incidents in other jurisdictions earlier in the evening. The officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled at a high rate of speed.

A short time later the same vehicle was observed entering Carleton Place where officers successfully deployed alternative stopping measures. An individual was taken into custody and transported to the Carleton Place detachment for testing purposes.

As a result of the investigation, Ashton MUSSLEMAN, 22-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Dangerous operation – two counts

·        Driving while suspended

·        Flight from peace officer – two counts

·        Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed

·        Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt

·        Driver fail to properly wear a seatbelt

·        Drive motor vehicle, no plates

·        Drive motor vehicle, no permit

·        Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
