Joshua Campbell Was Arrested Again

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance from ROPE (OPP Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement) located a male wanted on multiple warrants and brought him into custody. 

On Wednesday September 10, 2025 the ROPE team located and arrested an accused in Toronto, who was wanted on multiple warrants out of the City of Kawartha Lakes. The charges stem from incidents in the spring and summer of 2025. Substances believed to be drugs were seized during the arrest.

Joshua Campbell, 37-year-old of Lindsay, was charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Fail to Attend Court While on Release Order
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
  • Adult Unlawfully at Large

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Ronald VELEZ SANCHEZ Was Arrested

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving after being stopped for speeding in in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On September 11, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., A Nottawasaga OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement westbound on Highway 89 near Sideroad 10 in the Town of New Tecumseth when they observed a vehicle speeding with a malfunctioning passenger-side rear taillight. The vehicle was also seen crossing into the oncoming lane, nearly colliding with a parallel vehicle. the officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and during the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to the driver’s arrest. 

As a result of the investigation, Ronald VELEZ SANCHEZ 35-years-old of Alliston was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit
  • Fail to have insurance card
  • Fail to notify change of address – licence

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on October 9, 2025, to answer to the charges. The driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.

Fatal 401 Collision

(KINGSTON, ON) – The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) remains on the on scene of a fatal collision on Highway 401 in Kingston.

Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, members from the OPP and other emergency services responded to a head-on collision involving a tractor trailer and pickup truck on the westbound lanes of Highway 401, just west of the Highway 15 interchange.

The driver of the pick-up was pronounced deceased at the scene. That person’s identity has not been confirmed. The driver of the transport was taken to hospital by paramedics. Injuries were not life-threatening.

Moments prior to the collision, the OPP had received a report of pickup truck traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes.

The westbound lanes of the 401 remained closed between Highway 32 in Gananoque and Montreal Street in Kingston for several hours to allow for the on-scene investigation by members of the Frontenac Detachment, assisted by OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators.

The highway reopened shortly after 1:30 p.m.

James DILLABOUGH Was Arrested

(SHARBOT LAKE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Street Crime Unit has tracked down recently stolen property in Central Frontenac Township.

In late August an individual reported that over $3000 worth of items, including a high-end generator, power tools and a compound bow had been stolen from a location in Central Frontenac Township.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and Frontenac OPP officers, executed a search warrant at a residence on Wagner Road in Sharbot Lake. They located only one of the stolen items, a folding work bench at the scene.

James DILLABOUGH, age 28 of Central Frontenac Township has been charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime under $5000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sharbot Lake on November 25, 2025.

The investigation is continuing, and efforts continue to locate the remaining items and to find another person who may have been involved in the theft.

Kristen LEADER Was Arrested Again

(NORTH GRENVILLE, ON) – An Ottawa resident faces charges in connection with the illegal purchase of a firearm and the seizure of illegal drugs.

An individual, whose possession and acquisition licence for firearms had been revoked for public safety reasons, was in possession of an illegally purchased shotgun.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) OPP Community Street Crime was notified of the incident, and efforts were made to contact the individual.

That person turned themself in to the OPP on Thursday, September 11, 2025, and a search warrant was executed later that day at a residence on Morningmist Way in Ottawa.

Officers located the firearm, which was not secured, as well as ammunition and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

34-year-old Kristen LEADER has been charged with:

  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
  • Fail to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on October 3, 2025.

Nicholas FRENCH – Impaired Driving

(ESSA, ON)– Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving after being stopped for speeding in Essa Township

On September 11, 2025, shortly after 7:00 p.m., A Nottawasaga OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement on the 6th Line in Essa Township. The officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and during the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to the driver’s arrest. 

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas FRENCH 40-years-old of Barrie was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit
  • Obstruct plate

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on October 9, 2025, to answer to the charges. The driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.

Abdulazeez ADEOTI Was Arrested

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – As a result of a police investigation, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), have arrested and charged an individual in connection to a fraud investigation.

On September 11 2025, shortly before 4:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to a fraud incident located at 2 Queen Street South, in the Town of New Tecumseth. The complainant advised officers that they believed a customer was attempting to open a bank account with fraudulent documents.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the individual was attempting to open a bank account with a fraudulent ID and fraudulent passport. Upon arrival the male fled from police on foot. Officers were able to quickly locate and arrest the individual.

As a result Abdulazeez ADEOTI 33-years-old from Toronto was charged with the following :

  • Uttering Forged Passport
  • Possession of an identity document
  • Forgery
  • Possession of a forged document with intent
  • Personation with Intent (Identity Fraud)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 23,2025, to answer to the charges.

Marc JODOIN – Drunk Driving, Cocaine

(KINGSVILLE, ON) – On September 11, 2025, at approximately 9:07 p.m., a member from the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on patrol along County Road 23 in the Town of Kingsville.

The officer observed a vehicle travelling without proper lighting and initiated a traffic stop. Upon speaking to the driver, it was determined that the driver had previously consumed alcohol. During the investigation, the officer also located a substance suspected to be cocaine. Essex County OPP Canine Unit was on scene with General Service Dog Vinny and located additional suspected cocaine.

The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

As a result, Marc JODOIN, a 47-year-old from Windsor was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on September 24, 2025.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days, and the accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days as per statute.

Northumberland Weekly Update

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a number of persons this week, resulting in multiple charges being laid, including impaired driving, theft and assault.

Impaired Driving – Municipality of Brighton

On September 8, 2025, at around 9:00 p.m., an officer was on patrol on County Road 30 when they observed a vehicle stopped and causing a hazard to passing traffic. Following speaking to the driver, OPP entered into an impaired operation investigation. The motorist was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further tests.

A search of the individual and vehicle led to the discovery of a number of items believed to be obtained through crime.

Sanjeef STANISLESS (38) from Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a credit card obtained by crime – four counts
  • Possession of an identify document obtained by crime
  • Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Fail to have insurance card

In addition to a court date in October, a 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day vehicle impound were also imposed.

Assault with a weapon – Township of Cramahe

On September 9, 2025, shortly before 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual brandishing a construction-related item during an altercation on King Street West. One person was assaulted and sustained non-serious injuries.

The subject of the complaint had left the area prior to the arrival of police. With a description provided by witnesses, officers located an individual nearby on Church Street East.

As a result, Thomas MERRIMAN (31) from Colborne, was arrested and charged with:

  •  Assault with a weapon
  •  Assault
  •  Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  •  Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
  •  Mischief – destroys or damages property

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in October.

Theft – Township of Cramahe

On October 11, 2024, police received a complaint regarding a theft from a commercial premises on Toronto Street. It was reported that several individuals stole approximately $865 worth of liquor. Surveillance footage indicated the incident occurred on October 6.

Following an investigation spanning nearly 11 months, two persons were identified and located by police. On September 10, 2025, officers arrested both individuals

Akilan ANTON (20) from Scarborough, has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting

Aymen MOKTAR (20) from Toronto, has been charged with:

  •  Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting

Both accused are due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in October.

Joshua DEVLIN Arrested Again

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP., ON) – An individual, charged last month with making threats toward police officers, is facing additional charges.

The investigation began in late August when it was reported to the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) that threats had been made toward OPP members.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, an individual was arrested by Lanark County OPP and members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit at a residence on Munlaren Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at the same residence and seized a firearm, ammunition and suspected cocaine.

Joshua DEVLIN, age 40 of Drummond-North Elmsley, has now been charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order – four counts
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

This is in addition to the charges laid earlier:

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Failing to comply with a probation order

The accused remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled to continue before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

$14,000 Drug Bust – Annette McKEEN

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – Police arrested and charged one person with drug related offences.

On Tuesday September 9, 2025, at approximately 12:35 a.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) on Highway 539, West Nipissing.

One driver was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant from Hamilton Police Service. A search of the vehicle located drugs suspected to be methamphetamine and oxycodone, with an estimated street value of $14,000.

As a result of the investigation, Annette McKEEN, 65 years-of-age, from Field, was charged with, possession of a Schedule I Substance and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in North Bay.

Several Sent To Hospital -Wendy COSTELLO Arrested

(PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with multiple offences after a collision.

On September 11, 2025, at approximately 8:40 a.m. members of the West Parry Sound OPP were dispatched to a report of a collision involving multiple vehicles on Church Street in the Town of Parry Sound. Three vehicles were involved in total with several people brought to a Parry Sound area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wendy COSTELLO, 76 years-of-age of McDougall was charged with:

  • Driving while under suspension
  • Careless driving causing bodily harm

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on October 30, 2025.

Leighton PARKER – Was Arrested

(SOUTH-WEST OXFORD, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment detected an impaired driver while on general patrol.

On September 10, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of Oxford OPP initiated a traffic stop while on general patrol on Pressey Road in the Township of South-West Oxford.

As a result of the investigation, Leighton PARKER, a 36-year-old resident of London, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Drive While Under Suspension
  • Novice Driver BAC above 0

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on October 21, 2025.

Police want to remind the public that no amount of alcohol or drugs is safe to consume prior to operating a vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Details Released

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On September 10th, 2025 at approximately 9:11 a.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrol in the area of Banning Street, within the City of Thunder Bay and observed several motor vehicles; one of the vehicles was known to police as stolen.

As a result of the investigation, Eric Thomas LINDSTROM, 54, of Thunder Bay, Ontario was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine;
  • Possession of illicit Cannabis;
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada;
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;
  • Three counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order;

And Chantal BOUCHER, 46, of Thunder Bay, Ontario was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration;
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada;
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada;
  • Obstruct Peace Officer;
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code;

Both accused have been held in-custody and are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on September 11th, 2025.

Furthermore, on that same date, at approximately 5:08 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision along Little Trout Bay Road, within the Township of Neebing.

The vehicle was located & it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment for further tests.

As a result of the investigation, Beverly WOOD, 39, of Hamilton, Ontario was charged with:

  • Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent;
  • Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs;
  • Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration (80 plus);

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on October 15th, 2025.

Jason BALCOMB Was Arrested Again

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has charged an individual with multiple drug-trafficking offences following their arrest in Simcoe.

On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 2:13 p.m., members of the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU arrested an individual on Culver Street in Simcoe as part of a drug-trafficking investigation.

During a search of the individual, officers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result, 47-year-old Jason BALCOMB of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Traffic in Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
