(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid impaired driving charges in two separate investigations.
On Sunday, November 23, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Quinte West OPP responded to a collision, the driver was arrested for being impaired.
Byron REININGER, age 22, from Trenton, was charged with:
• Operation while impaired – alcohol
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Fail to have insurance card
• Having care or control of motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 18, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.
Later that same evening, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Quinte West OPP responded to another collision, the driver was located a short time later and arrested for being impaired.
Amber GREATHOUSE, age 29, from Thunder Bay, was charged with:
• Operation while impaired – drugs
• Dangerous operation
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 18, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.
