Another Pedestrain Sent To Hospital #PurgeCouncil

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle in a recent hit and run incident that left one person injured.

On November 23, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of collision between a vehicle and pedestrian on Highway 89 and Southgate Sideroad 57, east of Mount Forest. The pedestrian was outside of their vehicle, which was parked on the shoulder of the roadway, when they were struck by a vehicle headed eastbound on Highway 89. The driver of the vehicle did not stop following the collision.

The victim was transported to local hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.  

Members of the Wellington County OPP are still investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect and the vehicle involved.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-coloured sports utility vehicle (SUV), possibly with damage to the rear passenger side.
