(CALLANDER, ON) – A traffic stop for speeding in Callander resulted in impaired driving charges for a North Bay resident.
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., North Bay OPP officers stopped a vehicle travelling 96 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone on Highway 654. Upon speaking with the driver, officers detected signs of alcohol consumption. The individual was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Cole BOLGER, 18 years-of-age from North Bay, has been charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Speeding – 36 km/h over post limit
· Drive motor vehicle no plates
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 18, 2025, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
