(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Toronto resident with impaired driving-related offences following a traffic stop.
On October 22, 2025, shortly before 9:30 p.m., officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 10 in the Township of Melancthon when they observed a northbound vehicle committing several traffic infractions. Dufferin OPP officers from B Platoon conducted a traffic stop.
Officers observed signs of impairment, and an impaired driving investigation was initiated.
Aly MALIK, a 32-year-old male from Toronto, has been charged with the following offence:
ยท Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence has been suspended, and the vehicle has been impounded.
