Hwy 11 Fatal Collision Closed Road

(GREENSTONE, ON) – The Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a Highway 11 collision that resulted in one death and closed the highway for several hours.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, at approximately 7:11 p.m., OPP officers responded to multiple calls about a collision involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV. The driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old female from Longlac and the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Highway 11, between Longlac and Beardmore, was closed for the investigation and reopened the following day shortly after 11:00 a.m.

While the investigation remains ongoing, there has been no evidence obtained to date that would support charges.
