Police Break Up Multiple Fights at Kitchener Plaza; Five Charged

Waterloo Regional Police Service have arrested five individuals following a disturbance at a plaza in Kitchener.

On September 19, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., police responded to the area of University Avenue West and Fischer-Hallman Road for reports of a disturbance involving several individuals, including both youth and adults at a plaza. 

Officers attended and separated several fights and located one youth with injuries. The youth was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, officers have arrested and charged a 47-year-old Cambridge male with Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

Additionally, four youths have been charged with Assault in connection with the incident. The individuals charged include:

  • A 14-year-old male
  • A 15-year-old female
  • Two 15-year-old males

The investigation remains ongoing by members of WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
