David GORDON Was Arrested

(PETERBOROUGH, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired after conducting a traffic stop.

On Saturday September 6, 2025, at approximately 2:45pm, a Peterborough County OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement on Wallace Point Road when they observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver, determined them to be impaired. The individual was arrested and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

David GORDON (age 62) of Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Speeding

• Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit

• Fail to have insurance card

The accused had their driver’s licence further suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 22, 2025.
