(LAKESHORE, ON) – On August 27, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Lakeshore Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment received a report of a single motor vehicle collision County Road 42 near County Road 27, Belle River, Municipality of Lakeshore.
Police along with Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended and discovered that a vehicle had left the roadway, rolled several times and attempted to drive away and struck another vehicle that had stopped to assist.
Upon speaking to the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
As a result, Vinh Tuu HO, 59-years-old, of Windsor, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
- Dangerous Operation.
The accused is scheduled to appear on October 1, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor to answer to the charges.
A 90-day administrative drivers licence suspension and 7-day vehicle impoundment were issued as per statute.
