Paul DESCOTEAUX Was Arrested Again

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) laid impaired driving charges on a wanted person after a traffic stop.

On Thursday August 21, 2025, at approximately 2:50 p.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, observed a known wanted person driving a vehicle on Highway 539, West Nipissing.

Police arrested the driver for an outstanding warrant. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle, as well as being impaired by drugs. The driver was then transported to the North Bay Police Service for further testing.

Paul DESCOTEAUX, 39 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order

The accused was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday August 27, 2025, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 45-days.
