On April 28, 2014 at 5:30 pm police responded to a road rage assault that took place on Ottawa Street South near Trussler Rd in Kitchener. A 67 year old man had been assaulted and was left lying on the roadway by the suspect who fled the area. Both the victim and the suspect were initially travelling south on Ira Needles Blvd when the suspect, driving a white pickup truck, began to pursue the victim at the Victoria Street roundabout and proceeded to cut the victim off while gesturing at him.
The suspect followed the victim to Ottawa Street where the victim pulled over to allow the suspect to pass. At that point, the suspect exited his vehicle, approached the victim and assaulted him with the car door. He also punched the victim several times before fleeing the area. Several witnesses stopped to assist the victim. Police are looking for a white male, approximately 5’9â€Â, with a stocky build. The male was clean shaven and balding and left a beige baseball hat at the scene. He was driving a white pickup truck at the time of the incident.
