On May 7, 2014, as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drugs and related drug activity, police arrested a 49 year old Kitchener male for trafficking a controlled substance. A search of the male incident to his arrest yielded approximately 1.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine and just over 3 grams of marihuana. The male was held in police custody pending the outcome of a showcause hearing on May 8, 2014. The male faces charges of trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking. Waterloo Regional Police are committed to working in partnership with the community to curtail illegal drugs and drug activity.
