(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A South Huron resident has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension and Possession of a Controlled Substance following a traffic stop on May 4, 2014. At approximately 2:30 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers observed a known suspended driver operating a Chrysler SLT on Main Street in Exeter. The driver turned north onto William Street and was stopped by police.
A driver’s licence check was completed and it was confirmed he held a suspended driver’s licence. A search incident to arrest revealed the driver was in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Jamie LUNN, 36, from South Huron has been charged with Drive While Under Suspension and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine. He has been released from custody and has a scheduled court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on June 26, 2014.
