(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday May 08, 2014, shortly before 8 a.m., a Mitchell resident living on Toronto St. West observed a suspicious male walk by his home, and peer into his backyard. Shortly thereafter, the male was observed riding the resident’s bicycle down the driveway onto the street.
The resident immediately contacted the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and within half an hour officers located the male matching the suspect description. The bicycle was also located and was returned to the victim.
Joseph CLUETT (18) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences.
– Theft under $5,000
– Fail to comply with probation order
– Fail to comply with disposition
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 16, 2014 to answer to these charges.
