OPP INVESTIGATING HOME INVASION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a home invasion at an Angling Road, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at approximately 2:38 p.m., police responded to the address after two unknown females attended the residence and gained entry.

Investigation determined that the two suspects attended the residence earlier in the day and had spoken to the homeowner. A short time later, suspects returned and entered the residence where the homeowner confronted both females.

One of the suspects brandished an edged weapon while the other sprayed the home owner with a noxious substance. The homeowner fled to a safe area inside the residence and contacted police. Both suspects then fled from the home and were last seen walking northbound on Angling Road.

Both females are being described as native, dark hair, possibly in their teens, heavy set, wearing dark clothing. One of the females had her hair in a ponytail.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
