(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Monday May 19, 2014, shortly after 10 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the industrial area near the railway tracks south of Georgina St in Mitchell. Loud noises were heard and a suspicious vehicle was seen leaving the area.
Within minutes officers stopped a pickup truck on St. Andrew Street. A check of the truck determined that the two males in the truck were in possession of property belonging to the Goderich-Exeter Railway. Further checks revealed that the males had broken into a railway company storage shed and removed the property.
As a result of this investigation, Jonathan PERRIE WILLIE (26) of the Municipality of West Perth and Adam PFEIFER (32) of the Municipality of North Perth have been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences;
– Break, Enter a place, with intent to commit an indictable offence
– Possession of Break-in instruments
Both men are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 23, 2014, to answer to these charges.
