On May 27th 2014 at approximately 8:19am Police responded to the Scotiabank at 544 Hespeler Rd in Cambridge Ontario for an attempted robbery. A customer who was leaving the bank was approached by a male who grabbed her and demanded money. The victim refused and was able to safely leave the area. The suspect fled and was later arrested by police. A 23 year old Cambridge male is held in custody, pending a bail hearing for the offences of attempted robbery, possession of a controlled substance and breaching his probation order.
