On May 29, 2014 officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Drug Branch arrested a 40 year old Cambridge male and an 18 year old Cambridge female in connection to an ongoing investigation into activity involving illegal drugs. As a result of the investigation a CDSA search warrant was executed on Birch Street in the city of Cambridge. During the search of the residence, Canadian currency, and cannabis marihuana were seized. Both parties were released on Promise to Appear notices. The male and female were charged jointly with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana. The male was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (2 Counts) and Possession of Property obtained by Crime (2 Counts).
