Jonathon WILLIAMSON – Drunk Driving Tractor, Flight From Police

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On Thursday May 29, 2014, at approximately 8:10 p.m. Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a family dispute on Meadowland Road, South Bruce Peninsula.

Upon arrival, police observed a male leaving the property operating a farm tractor. Police followed the tractor, which was being operated in a dangerous manner by weaving all over the road. The tractor left the road and the driver fled on foot. After a short foot chase, the male, who had been drinking alcohol, was apprehended. He was arrested for impaired driving.

Jonathon WILLIAMSON, 26, of South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with multiple offences, including:

Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle – Criminal Code of Canada (CC)

Resist Peace Officer – CC

Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer – CC

Driving while Ability Impaired – CC

Driving with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood – CC

Possession of a Schedule II Marihuana – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Careless Driving – Highway Traffic Act

He is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on Thursday, June 19, 2014 to answer to the charges.
