On the 3rd of June, 2014 uniform officers, including members of the Emergency Response Team and Detectives, were engaged in the search for a Kitchener male in the Southdale neighbourhood of Kitchener. The male was armed with a knife and made efforts to flee pursuing officers. The male was arrested at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the area of Ottawa Street and Kehl Street, Kitchener. The male has been charged with Weapons Dangerous and Mischief under $5000. Investigators with the Crime Management Team continue to investigate a series of residential break and enters in the area. Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to police.
