(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is investigating the report of a sexual assault that occurred near the intersection of Templeton Street and Sweetland Avenue, in Sandy Hill on June 7th, 2014 at approximately 01:18 am.
In the early morning hours, a woman in her early twenties was walking on Templeton Street when she was grabbed by an unknown male and sexually assaulted. A male in his early 20’s saw the attack and came to the assistance of the victim.
The male suspect fled south from that area onto the property of Ottawa University. The suspect is described as Middle Eastern, medium build, 6’0†180 pounds, wearing a collared white shirt and jeans and was in his mid to late 20’s. The suspect had short dark hair and a slight growth of facial hair, he also smelled strongly of cologne.
