Two London men face several charges after a loaded firearm and over $11,000 worth of drugs and cash were seized.
On Monday, June 9, 2014 members of the Investigation Response Unit were assisted by uniformed officers, as well as members of the Guns and Drugs Section, with a drug investigation.
At approximately 1:40 p.m., the drivers, and lone occupants, of two vehicles were arrested in the area of Wilkins Street and Sandringham Crescent for the drug investigation.

The following were seized:
34.9 g of cocaine – $3,480
1.9 g of marihuana – $20
1 x 40mg oxycontin – $20
Approximately $8,000 cash
Justright Carbine Semi-Automatic 9mm assault rifle
Three 9mm assault rifle magazines
Over 300 rounds of ammunition
2002 Acura RSX – $2,000
2014 Dodge Caravan – $20,000
As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old Youssiff Habash has been charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:
– Possess Schedule II substance, contrary to section 4(1); and
– Possess Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2).
Ali Bhatti, 20 years, has been charged with 14 Criminal Code of Canada offences related to firearms and ammunition as well as the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:
– Unlawfully possess Schedule I substance, contrary to section 4(1); and
– Possess Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2).
Both remain in custody and are to appear in court today.
