Do You Need New Licence Plates?

(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – The Highway Traffic Act (HTA) of Ontario requires vehicles registered in Ontario to conspicuously display 2 number plates.

The HTA also provides penalties for altering or defacing licencing plates, or tampering with the licence plate validation sticker.

Penalties for licence plate violations range from $100 to $1,000 and could include up to 30 days in jail.

If your licence plate is rusty or the characters have lost their color, it’s time to make arrangements for a replacement.
