Ford Taurus Stolen From Brussels

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the theft of a green 2002 Ford Taurus four-door sedan stolen from Elizabeth Street in Brussels. At approximately 5:00 a.m. on June 12, 2014 the vehicle owner looked out his residence window and spotted his vehicle parked on the street; Less than a half hour later, when he went to leave for his morning commute the vehicle was gone.

The vehicle was left in an insecure condition with the doors unlocked and the ignition key inside the vehicle.

The green Ford Taurus has damage to the passenger side rear corner panel, it has a sunroof and it is equipped with an after-market 9 foot tall CB antenna affixed to the trunk.

The vehicle is valued at $500.

Indeed the dollar value of this vehicle is low, however, please keep in mind stolen vehicles are often used to commit other serious crimes that often place members of the public and police officers in dangerous situations. Always lock your vehicle and remove the ignition key.
