The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic dispute last night.
Around 10:00 p.m. the man entered his ex-common-law’s residence on Sandys Street through an unlocked door without permission. The woman asked the man to leave several times, however he refused. The man stood in the doorway and prevented the woman from leaving the residence with their two children. Neither the woman nor the children were injured during this incident.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. police were called and upon the officer’s arrival, the man was located inside the residence and arrested. The 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
