On June 23, 2014, members of the Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, were assisted by the Emergency Response Unit with executing a search warrant at a residence on Allen Place.
Seized were a Cobra Enterprises .380 semi-automatic handgun loaded with 8 rounds of ammunition, one 12 mg hydromorphone pill and a trace amount of cocaine.
As a result of the investigation, two 28-year-old men from London are being charged.
Loaded Firearm Seized
James Moody and Sean Tourand are being charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– Possess firearm/ammunition while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(1);
– Possess loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1);
– Carelessly storage of firearm, contrary to section 86(1);
– Possess prohibited firearm, contrary to section 92(1);
– Unlicenced person possess prohibited/restricted weapon, contrary to section 91(2); and
– Possess Schedule I substance for trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
James Moody is further charged with unlawfully possess Schedule I substance, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Sean Tourand will be further charged with two additional counts of possess firearm/ammunition while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Sean Tourand is wanted for these offences and a warrant for his arrest is being sought. He is described as Caucasian, 5’7 (170 cm)
