(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on March 23, 2024.
On March 23, 2024 at approximately 11:05 am, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on John Street in Kirkfield. An impaired driving investigation commenced.
Steven Olhiser 20 years old of Kirkfield was charged with:
Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
Drive Motor Vehicle no licence
Use Plate not Authorized for Vehicle
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture
