Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 132 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four person was arrested and two on an outstanding warrant.

Man Arrested for Assault CK24013038

On March 23, 2024, officers responded to a disturbance on Gray Street in Chatham.

Through investigation officers learned the man assaulted the woman causing physical injury. The man left prior to police arrival.

On March 24, 2024, at 9:43 a.m. the 37-year-old Chatham man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police. He was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and held pending a bail hearing. As a result, the court released the man with conditions and future court date of April 17, 2024.

Woman Arrested for Assault CK24013159

At 3:22 p.m., police began an assault investigation in Chatham.

Officers learned the complainant and the woman engaged in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical altercation. The complainant was struck by the woman resulting in minor physical injuries.

At 5:44 a.m. the woman attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarter and turned herself into the police.

The 31-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released with conditions and a future court date of April 15, 2024.

Woman Arrested for Criminal Harassment CK24013088

At 4:30 p.m., police responded to George Street in Ridgetown for a mischief investigation.

Officers learned the woman broke the complainant�s front window with a hammer. Further investigation revealed the woman had a history of harassing the complainant and her family.

The 40-year-old Ridgetown woman was arrested and charged with criminal harassment and mischief. She was transported to police headquarters where she was held pending a bail hearing.

Woman Arrested for Assault CK24013129

At 9:34 p.m., police responded to Patterson Avenue for a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal argument escalated when the man assaulted the woman and threatened to cause her harm. Further investigation revealed other physical altercations. Officers located the man and arrested him.

The 28-year-old Chatham man was charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats and two counts of assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and future court date of April 29, 2024.
