(PICTON, ON) � The East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged two individuals after executing a search warrant in Picton yesterday.

On March 21, 2024 a search warrant was executed on Nery Avenue with the assistance of the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit. As a result of the warrant, officers seized a firearm, a prohibited device, ammunition and a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Thomas MCCUMBER, age 34 and Amber RODGERS, age 28, both from Prince Edward County were charged with the following offences:

Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking � cocaine
Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon
Both individuals were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 22, 2024.
