(PEMBROKE, ON) � A local individual is facing drug possession charges after a trespassing incident was reported in Pembroke.

On the evening of March 9, 2024, officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended an apartment building on Elizabeth Street in Pembroke in response to a trespassing complaint. Police located an individual who was trespassing and took them into custody. Suspected fentanyl and methamphetamines were seized during the investigation.

Richard FARR Jr., age 36 of Laurentian Valley Township, has been charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), Criminal Code (CC) and Trespass to Property Act (TPA) offences:

Possession of a schedule 1 substance � methamphetamine
Possession of a schedule 1 substance � fentanyl
Fail to comply with probation � three counts
Enter premises when entry prohibited
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 3, 2024.
