(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On October 6, 2020, at approximately 7:30 p.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a motorcycle for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Main Street near Wellington Street in the Town of Mount Forest.
It was reported that the driver did not have a licence plate attached to the motorcycle.
Police spoke with the driver and detected an odour of alcohol on their breath. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which confirmed the driver had consumed alcohol.
Police also discovered that the motorcyclist was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code of Canada and had their licence suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.
As a result of the investigation, Tobias Alexander NISBET, 33-years-old of Durham, faces the following charges:

The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on November 13, 2020. Their vehicle was seized for a period of 45 days as per statute.
